The Talent Voor Kunst Galerie in Belgium is mounting a solo exhibition of my photo-based artwork this summer, the show is titled - Re-Imagining the World of Tomorrow. It will culminate with a book of my artwork.
About the Artwork
My work is a hybrid of wet photography (in the darkroom) and digital process. I am influenced by the work of Bauhaus, Constructivist and Surrealist photographers.
Two areas of inquiry have fascinated me with their graphic possibilities – the “World of Tomorrow” themed 1939 New York World’s Fair, and vintage images depicting feats of daring as performed by 1930s circus performers.
On the surface, these are two disparate themes. But for me, the commonality is humanity striving to reach its potential. The 1939 New York World’s Fair presented this on a grand stage, showing what was possible with technology, the right vision and will. Engaging science, art, commerce, and government in an inspiring display of imagination. The circus performers, working with little or no technology, took us to the outer limits of skill and performance using only the human body. Together, they offer us a thrilling picture of our own potential when we have the courage to take a leap of faith.
All prints are museum quality, signed, numbered, limited edition pigment prints on archival smooth photo-rag paper.
Expenses & Your Support:
Your support will help with printing, matting, and the large expense of insuring packing and shipping the artwork to Belgium, including any fees and taxes. Other expenses include, the videographer for this Kickstarter video, the design, production and printing fees associated with producing and printing a quality book. The book will include all images featured in the exhibition and more never before seen. I would also like to attend the opening reception of my first solo exhibition in Europe.
As a way to thank you for your support I am offering signed, limited edition postcards, posters, museum quality prints, and a signed limited edition book of my artwork. As well as some cool art memorabilia that I designed and produced specifically for this exhibition. Please check out the rewards to your right and images of the rewards at the bottom of this page.
Please note, the way Kickstarter works, if I do not reach my goal I do not receive any of the monies pledged. Thank you for supporting my exhibition and please share this link with your friends.
((( This Kickstarter campaign ))) will run for only 30 days, so I must reach my goal within this time frame. If you have any questions please feel free to email me.

Risks and challenges
The gallery show has been scheduled for about a year in advance and the body of work is nearly done for the show. Printing my work is being scheduled now along with matting and presentation for display in the gallery. The only risks could be a delay in delivery dates for the finished book, which I will be on top of during this process. I will manage all aspects of this project to run smoothly and on schedule. I will also update you should there be any unforeseen delays.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
