That's a great question! When adding additional sets please do include the shipping for that second item as well. In the case of the Power Base that's SGD $14 (approx $10 USD).
However, we will be applying shipping discounts up to 30% off for additional sets, plus shipping as a bundle to reduce costs.

The product you see on Amazon are our original growing pots. They are version 1.0 of the updated growing pots in this Kickstarter.
Our new LeGrow Growing Pots include improved water absorbing fiber for the wick to address past concerns and increase water absorption from the reservoir to the plant soil. As well as, silicone connectors for stackability.
However, the reason and need for this Kickstarter isn't for the growing pots themselves.
The 360° humidifier, LED lamp, and a Power Base with advanced Quick Charge 3.0 technology are all new offerings.
However, these new products are expensive for us to develop and the cost of producing the full ecosystem is beyond our current means, which is why we've launched this Kickstarter. To bring the full Smart Garden to life.
Our shipping estimates are based on the manufacturing time of the new items, not the growing pots. This is why it seems like a long time when you compare the availability of the older v1 pots. However, these times are also conservative and we believe delivery can be achieved sooner.
The growing pots are industry standard size: 8.5 x 8.5 x 10 cm, which makes it easier to buy plants off the shelf without making a mess repacking the soil.
The size also allows for gardens in smaller spaces and can still be expandable for larger ones. They fit most herbs and small plants.
In the future, we hope to introduce a larger system as well, but we want to design it so that all components are interchangeable.
We will keep all our backers aware of any new additions and changes to the Smart Garden as we continue to develop on our central theme.

I can get it next day shipping there as well. It seems you just took a product from a chinese manufacturer and added a humidifier and the idea to stack them? I see your version now supports quickcharge but other than that what is the difference? Why should I wait months for a product I can get tomorrow for pretty much the same price? Also in the reviews for the same product on Amazon people mainly complain it is too small to fit herbs you buy from the supermarket, which was my intended use. Are you considering a bigger version that fits these?

According to kicktraq.com, we are not going to reach the 120k required to reach the stretch goal. The trend is currently around 111k. Could it be possible to get other add-on available? Will you be counting late pledge toward reaching the goal?
Yes, you can grow mini bonsai trees in these pots. However, bonsai are notorious for being difficult to maintain, so they won't be as easy as succulents, ferns, and many other plants. Also, larger bonsai trees are not ideal for this potting system.

Thank you for your questions. The LED Lamp comes with a USB cable that plugs into the Power Base, which in turn plugs into the wall. Unless you get the LeGrow Shine, in which case it comes with a wall adapter for you to plug into an outlet.
The LED Lamp will cycle continuously, as long as it's plugged in.
The Humidifier comes with a 400mL tank (approx. 13.5 ounces) that finishes its water supply after approximately 10 hours. Once the water is finished it automatically shuts off.
However, it doesn't need to be running constantly and it is not on the 6 hour cycle with the LED. The humidifier turns on manually. So you can run it for just a couple hours and turn it off when you leave the office or your home.
Your plants will survive the weekend or a short holiday without the humidifier, as long as you have water in the growing pot reservoir. The plants will use the water from the pot and that will be sufficient while you're away.

Hi Bryan, I would like to correct my last comment.
Our product uses a sturdy, high quality compound plastic called ABS. This is similar to the plastics used in computers and electronics. Not the cheap stuff that comes with plants when you buy them at the store.
However, I previously mentioned that we use a UV coating. This is not true. My mistake. We actually add a UV protection to the plastic compound itself. This addition is safe and used frequently in products that receive an extensive amount of direct sunlight or artificial sunlight.
This UV protection is designed to keep your LeGrow set from discoloring or becoming brittle when exposed to light for long periods of time. It won't have any effect on the plants themselves and is commonly used in planter pots.

I have backed your project and am very happy to get additional sets for my friends and family. However, i see that you have omit a very important and essential piece of information from your marketing material. Please allow me to ask you this very important question: What material are your pots & trays made out of: Are they a cheap and flimsy plastic, are they ceramic, are they a high quality plastic, or metal? I would like to know the exact material of the product that you are using, and if its long lasting. Very happy to back this project, looking forward to hearing your feedback.
The LED Lamp and humidifier are powered via USB cables that plug into the Power Base. If they are purchased in a set without the power base, they come with small adapters that plug into an outlet. The USB cords are 1 meter (approx. 40 inches) long and the Power Base cord is 1.5 meters (approx. 5 feet) long.
The timer of the lights can be set be placing a pot on the Power Base. When you place the pot on the base the LED lights turn on for a 6 hour interval so the plants get sufficient light. The lamp then turns off for 18 hours and the cycle repeats. It can be interrupted at any time simply by removing the pot from the Power Base and resetting it.
The light intensity has to do with 'useable light' vs 'spill light.' The further away the LED Lamp the less useable the light becomes for the plant below. This is what causes the drop in lumens. Sometimes this is calculated differently; for example in the EU they often require 'useable lumens' as a separate number, whereas we just show that there's a decrease when the height is adjusted. Plants like succulents need more useable light than other plants such as ferns.
There's no switch because we wanted to keep the design simple and minimalistic without traditional switches and knobs.
Unfortunately, our first campaign from last year did not reach our funding goal. We are relaunching this year in Singapore due to a partnership agreement with our new marketing team.
We decided to adjust the timeframe because we wanted to be a little more conservative. Manufacturing the pots, trays, and connectors is easy, but the Power Base and humidifier are a bit more technical so we wanted to have a little more room to iron out any hiccups along the way.
However, with that being said, there's still a strong possibility that you'll receive your orders closer to two months.

How does moving the light up a few centimeters lower the lighting intensity by 5x? I don't think that's how physics works. Why is that the only way to adjust intensity? Why wouldn't you simply provide less power to the LED using a knob or slider?
Why did you try to launch an almost identical product on Kickstarter a few months ago from a different country? Why was that campaign promising delivering the product in 2 months, yet this project needs 4? Did you get less ready to fulfill the orders?

Anyone who has already pledged will be charged the correct shipping rate when the product ships.
Unfortunately, we won't have local pickup in Singapore, because everything will be packaged and shipped direct from the factory.

Sometimes this is calculated differently; for example in the EU they often require 'useable lumens' as a separate number, whereas we just show that there's a decrease when the height is adjusted. Plants like succulents need more useable light than other plants such as ferns.
There's no switch because we wanted to keep the design simple and minimalistic without traditional switches and knobs.
Unfortunately, our first campaign from last year did not reach our funding goal. We are relaunching this year in Singapore due to a partnership agreement with our new marketing team.
We decided to adjust the timeframe because we wanted to be a little more conservative. Manufacturing the pots, trays, and connectors is easy, but the Power Base and humidifier are a bit more technical so we wanted to have a little more room to iron out any hiccups along the way.
However, with that being said, there's still a strong possibility that you'll receive your orders closer to two months.

How are the lights powered? Batteries? Wires traveling from the AC adapter?
How is the humidifier powered?
How do you set the timer for the lights?
How does moving the light up a few centimeters lower the lighting intensity by 5x? I don't think that's how physics works. Why is that the only way to adjust intensity? Why wouldn't you simply provide less power to the LED using a knob or slider?
Why did you try to launch an almost identical product on Kickstarter a few months ago from a different country? Why was that campaign promising delivering the product in 2 months, yet this project needs 4? Did you get less ready to fulfill the orders?

I backed the office green. I am also from Australia and want to make sure the power adapter for australia is included, otherwise it will be pointless if i cannot turn it on :)
Also if i wanted extra pots with bases how do i do that please? Thank you

Thank you for your questions! The Office Green has 5 planter pots total, but one of those pots rests atop the Power Base. When we listed it out we wanted backers to see that it includes the USB Ports. We’ll update the language in the description as Power Base, so there’s no confusion. Thank you for catching that!
So if you get the Double Pack it has 10 planter pots in total, two Power Bases, two LED lamps, and two humidifiers.
Unfortunately, we aren’t selling the humidifiers separately at this time. We are trying to keep production and shipping variations to a minimum. However, we may sell them separately in the future once we have larger production orders.
