1. Lift the lid
2. Use the Dooli™ Scooper to toss your kitty’s ‘business’ or simply insert your dirty doggy bag into the pail
3. Close the lid. That’s it! The patented Dooli™ lever mechanism will do the rest

Dooli™ solves this issue for cats and dogs alike while simultaneously keeping you happy and your home smelling fresh.
Is Dooli™ the first pet waste pail on the market? No. But is it the best pet waste pail on the market? Absolutely.
Dooli Products, Inc. is a family company focused on utilizing patents for improved waste management devices. Founded in 2015, Dooli Products, Inc. is headed by David Stravitz, a consumer and industrial product designer and inventor, along with his daughter, Alison Diamond. With a background in waste disposal product development, Stravitz saw the need for a pet waste pail system that caters to all pets and is effective and environmentally friendly.
David Stravitz, a prolific consumer and industrial product designer/inventor, holds over 150 patents that have formed the basis for a multitude of successful products, including the “#1 Diaper Pail in Odor Control” being sold today. He has created and produced a wide variety of products — office products, waste management devices, innovative crafting tools and hardware — for his company, Great Notions Corporation. His numerous products are currently on the shelves of Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Sears, Target, Toys “R” US, Babies “R” US, Staples, Office Depot and more. In 2015, he formed Dooli Products, Inc. to launch his latest series of patents for improved waste management devices for cat and dog owners everywhere.
Alison Diamond began her career at CBS News as a web video editor and producer for 60 Minutes, 48 Hours, CBS This Morning and The Evening News. During that time, she obtained her Culinary Degree from The French Culinary Institute and launched a Food & Wine section on CBSNews.com, including a weekly video blog following her culinary school experience. In 2013, she accepted a marketing position at her culinary school (now called International Culinary Center), where she managed social media content and partnerships, and built a video department from the ground up. In 2015, she joined the family business to accelerate product placement and marketing, which quickly led to the launch of Dooli Products, Inc.
Dooli has been a LONG time coming. As you can see, we started way back in 2013 when we first came up with the idea for Dooli. From there, we developed our first prototype. We continued to tool with the designs and make tweaks on our prototypes until earlier this year, when we finally decided Dooli was ready for you. We began product testing around the same time in 2013 as a means to invent a better, more practical odor containment system specifically directed to pets. This continued through our final prototype. Here's a glimpse of one of our first prototype drawings:
Tooling based on the final injection molding CAD file is estimated to be completed in 4-4.5 months. There are approximately 15 precision parts that comprise this system. The commercialization of Dooli is estimated to be 5-6 months from the kickoff of this project. This involves tool creation, T1 first testing, refinements, and finally, sign off of the finished fully operational part. What this means, in short, is that you should be receiving your Dooli at the latest in January 2017!
Why Kickstarter? We developed a unique product that strongly fills a need: namely a superior waste pail system for the containment of offensive pet odor. We’ve developed, refined and re-refined our prototypes both in form and function, including patent protection. Now that we’re ready to produce, what better venue is there than to get an automatic audience (the crowd) of users who can subsequently be sponsors, endorsers and advocates? They benefit by receiving the product(s) at deep discounts, and we benefit by having them help us in our tool construction needed for commercialization. The crowd believes in us and we reward them for sponsoring us.
Risks and challenges
We have been developing this product for well over two years. It has seen several iterations of fully operational prototypes. Along the way, we have filed and have received issued mechanical U. S. patents as they relate to the key mechanics of the pail and the unique deodorizing dispenser. We have already commenced the actual production on our unique bag assembly, as well as the multi chamber dispenser.
We have fully developed the cad files for the mold makers and injection molders to begin construction of the Dooli Pail components. Injection molds require 3-4 months for creation of the various tools as well as the final de-bugging of the finished pail and parts. It is important that the tools will be finished on time, a few weeks earlier or a few weeks later. Sometimes, the injection molds (there are over 10) may require additional polishing for the final acceptable finish and look. The pail bottom mold alone will weigh over one thousand pounds and the final fit and finish is critical.
The bags should be ready well before the pail is constructed. We will test and debug them to make certain they meet our rigid criteria. Same holds for the patented dispenser which will include our custom blend of aroma gel beads. We feel these too will be ready and waiting for the molded production pail.
It is the pail construction and the critical precise pre-production debugging that will dictate the actual final timetable of this project.
David Stravitz, President of Dooli Products, Inc., has been developing and patenting injection molded products for many years. He is aware, based on hands on experience, of what it takes to bring numerous successful products to market. He has commercialized hundreds of products and has been issued 154 U.S. patents.
The risk, in our estimation, is primarily a timetable issue. Yet, we feel we will be reasonably on target, based on our reputable suppliers input and past successes.
