Hello everyone......it is us.....the faces behind the Foxtales
At the beginning we were a bit skeptical about showing our faces because we are kind of made out of mirror cracking material. But then our backers constantly clamored to see the faces who a lot of backers think will crash and burn during their first campaign. Well, here we are.
Burhan Ullah Kazim AKA Tippu
Publisher and Project Manager
Burhan, a gamer at heart; Burhan or as we like to call him Tippu has always been a company man. He started out as a telecom engineer but his work took him to the far corners of China where he mastered the art oriental negotiations and a little mandarin. His resourcefulness is what allowed Foxtales to transform from a dream into reality. As an old timer, he is a hardcore fan of Dungeons and Dragons, still loves his N64 and is a fantastic Hearthstone player.
Game Creator and Designer
Humayun hated school. Being a dyslexic he found toys and games more meaningful than books and words. Since the age of 7, he has been making clay figures playing with them. Always an artist at his core, he is supremely versatile. He is an extremely skilled 3D artist, illustrator, sculptor and animator and a diehard Assassins Creed fan. When he is not creating stuff, he can be found buried in his lair that is stacked to room with board games and figurines. More than half the time, he expand the stories of his owned board games by making his own figurines and scenarios when he find them boring. He thought about Overturn 3 years back but had no resources to pursue it until he met Tippu who helped him with his dream. Overturn was a full time responsibility so to get this game made, Humayun left his job and worked one miniature and game feature at a time. He is a quite and rather private individual and a proud dad of 2 beautiful children with another on the way. I wonder if he will name the child after one of the game characters. (The whole Dargon fiasco is his fault by the way)
Game Writer and Communications Manager
And then there is me. Born and raised in Middle East, living in Pakistan and Dubai simultaneously; I head the operations of a Marketing company whose offices are in both Pakistan and Dubai. Having a full time job, two little boys and a wife is a full time job but when Humayun came to me year and a half back with the concept art and few crude figurines, he told me he needed a kick ass story to bind narrative and gameplay. His characters had those distinct middle eastern appeal and he had these scary concept art of jinns so I took a month and came up with the history of Drish Barahir, then made a story around it. Humayun and Burhan instantly loved it and after polishing it for a few months, wrote the scenarios and character bios of the game. I have been with these guys ever since and looking after Overturns communication. I am huge video game buff and even named my first born Raziel after the protagonist of one of my all-time favorite game soul reaver. When I am not playing video games, I am either reading or watching horror movies.
