Wider Seas - The Story
Three years ago, almost to the day, we released our first album. What began as a solo project quickly grew with the help of friends old and new. Over those three years, we’ve been working hard to fine tune our live show, gain some local momentum, and write some new songs. Odds are, if you’re reading this, you’ve probably heard a lot of our new songs at shows or in their broken down, homemade video version on YouTube.
Well, almost every single one of those songs has been written, rewritten, almost thrown out, and then rewritten again until it became exactly what we wanted it to be. Our sound has been clarified and distilled into 10 songs and the only thing left to do is lay them down track by track in the studio.
If you watched our video, you got a glimpse into what this process will look like and the awesome space we get to do it in. We couldn’t be more excited about having Stephen Nichols at the helm of this thing, and to help us make this record live up to the high standards we've set for it.
Making music is hard, tedious, expensive, but tremendously rewarding. We want you to get in on that process and help us make this album a reality. If you pledge even one dollar, you’ll have put something on the line for us, and we’ll be grateful. Everyone who pledges will be part of this process: we’ll post updates, videos, and thank yous. And once our goal is reached, every backer will get exclusive access to studio footage and secret goodies.
The backers who pledge more get sweet swag, exclusive experiences, and lots of love (boom! alliteration). But we want everyone on board this gravy train, so take a look at these rewards and see what tickles your fancy.

Risks and challenges
Every creative venture has the potential for failure. There will be hiccups, creative blocks, and moments in the studio where we will want to murder each other and quit this whole thing. But we won’t because we love it too damn much.
Lord knows we’ve had ups and downs as a band, but every time we feel low we pick ourselves up and get back to the grind. This process will feel no different, and with enough backing and support from you, our loyal fans, we will march on.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
