"Outside of Apple, the wearable I find most interesting will be from GoMore. GoMore has added EKG monitoring to its device, allowing athletes to monitor their stamina as well as heart rate. That could be valuable for anyone doing serious training." -TIME
"Another winner for APEC was Chinese Taipei-based bOMDIC which has created an intelligent workout device. The GoMore Stamina Sensor enables individuals to match exercise intensity to their own stamina levels, maximizing the effectiveness of every workout session." -WebWire
GoMore is a "fuel gauge monitor" for athletes. Similar to how a driver needs to know how much fuel is left in a car to determine how and whether a trip could be completed, an athlete needs to know how much “fuel” is left in the body to pace well for a good performance. With GoMore, you’ll be able to see just how much.
Have you ever asked yourself...
These are the problems GoMore aims to address and the answers can all be found by understanding the concept, stamina. By knowing the amount of stamina you had left at any moment, you’d know how fast to go in that heat if you wanted to finish or break a record; by knowing how your athletes were using their stamina during training and races, you’d have a firm grasp of their endurance levels; by knowing the extent of capabilities your stamina permitted, you would know whether you could finish a marathon. To solve those problems is about being in tune with your stamina. Stamina is like that “fuel” in you, it’s what allows you to keep exerting until you have to come to a stop. In the past this has been something you had to check “by feel” or guesstimate based on past trials and errors, but with GoMore it’s now a concrete measurable quantity that you can monitor, track, analyze, manage, build, and utilize to unleash potential you didn’t know you had in you.
GoMore, a wearable sensor and app that tells you how much "fuel" you have in your body.
We believe with GoMore, when stamina can be visualized and tracked quantitatively, anyone can train their stamina in a more efficient manner and exhibit the potential to challenge goals beyond their capability.
To help you manage your stamina, we try to solve three different problems that you might face exercising:
1. During exercises
2. Right after exercises
3. Over long term
Before GoMore came around, an athlete had to rely on several gadgets to analyze workout data to determine an optimal stamina usage strategy in order to complete an event or perform well. For real-time stamina management, many athletes solely rely on how fatigued they “feel” based on past experiences. With GoMore, we simplify the complex concept into simple numbers and provide an intuitive way to help athletes manage stamina during and in between exercises.
Wear GoMore when you train, see your stamina in numbers.
GoMore currently supports four types of endurance sports: Running, Cycling, Hiking, and Treadmill Training.
How GoMore Works
Stamina is the limiting resource in endurance sports. When you run out of stamina, it means you’ve reached your limit where you’ve become so fatigued that you can’t go any further. To help you manage this limited resource, we’ve interpreted stamina into a visible and trackable quantity.
Hacking your biometrics and bio-signal to make stamina visible
To measure stamina, GoMore records your ECG signals through the stamina sensor and the two electrodes on the chest belt. Your ECG signals carry unique information about how you respond physiologically to different exercise intensities, durations, and frequencies under various environmental conditions such as elevation, temperature and humidity. The physiological responses encompass for instance lactate build-up and aerobic energy consumption, which determine the extent of your perceived exertion of an endurance activity and hence whether you can continue exerting. Along with your soft biometrics including height, weight, and age, the embedded algorithm processes relevant ECG signal features to deduce your perceived exertion levels to calculate the amount of stamina you have remaining during workouts in real time.
Stories from Our Early Testers
I’m an athlete. I have a family and a job. In the beginning, it was really hard to allocate my energy among these commitments. I started to build my stamina to have the strength, energy and endurance to do a lot more.
My body condition changes slightly day to day due to the weather or even my mood. To perform well during a race, allocating my stamina appropriately throughout has always been a big concern and understanding where my physical limitations lie is necessary to make any game plan. GoMore monitors my stamina levels in real-time, which helps me make the right decisions.
Also, from the stamina amounts mapped to corresponding locations, I’m able to identify where it might be harder or easier on a racecourse to better allocate my stamina usage to perform well.
I have two kids. I want to boost my endurance and stamina levels so I can be by their side as they grow up.
To be the super mom that I want to be for my kids, I train to build my stamina to take better care of my family. With the limited amount of time I have for myself, I find it very helpful to use my projected capabilities after training sessions to develop efficient approaches with my coach to help me improve. When I break my limits and improve, my kids also see that they have the ability to overcome any difficulties that may come their way.

Risks and challenges
At this stage, features that we care most about have been optimized. These include the stability of the stamina sensor, reliability of measurements, user-friendly interface, sensor size and weight, etc. We’ve manufactured a first batch of samples for internal testing and are heading into mass production with manufacturers now. Our main challenge will be to ensure that the manufactured sensors meet our strict quality requirements and that the software runs smoothly.
We’re currently hard at work fine-tuning our software and are very confident that GoMore will ship to you in May 2015.
