The Mineral Point Vampire (Dungeons and Dragons)
A 5E Dungeons and Dragons module for 4-6 characters for 4-6 characters, Levels 10 and higher. From Tomorrow River Games.
This project will only be funded if it reaches its goal by Mon, September 24 2018 9:21 AM UTC +00:00.
This is a continuation of "On Ouisconsin!" (TMR1), based on mythical beasts and locations in historical Wisconsin. This is also playable as a stand-alone adventure (see $1 contribution for a discount on On Ouisconsin! if you missed it the first time around.).
The Mineral Point Vampire (TMR2) is set in Mineral Point, one of the oldest settlements in Wisconsin.
The adventurers have been told of a tall, thin, pale, and imposing caped figure that seems to be a vampire that haunts the residents of otherwise small and cozy Mineral Point.
The vampire has been pursued as far as Graceland Cemetery (rumored to be haunted by ghosts), where it was lost after apparently clearing the cemetery's six foot tall fence. Other than a few footprints, no evidence remained.
The local constable suspects that the vampire might be hiding somewhere in Pendarvis: a city-within-a-city in Mineral Point. The party will learn that Pendarvis is believed to be haunted and its ruins carefully avoided by local residents.
Will the party start with Graceland Cemetery? Will they have the courage to explore Pendarvis? Are there other hidden secrets and monsters? Or will the vampire of Mineral Point continue to haunt the local residents? Only the bravest of adventurers will solve the many mysteries of Mineral Point.
You can expect:
- SIX original monsters and NPCs, most illustrated
- Maps and dungeons for eight historic locations, most illustrated
- More than 50 pages and at least 8-12 hours of game-play
- Bonus content and custom miniatures to enhance your play (varies based upon contribution level)
The estimated retail price of this module is expected to be around $20.00. Contributing $12.00 to the campaign is the least expensive way to get hardcopy of this module!
There are also a number of STRETCH GOALS:
FIRST STRETCH GOAL: At $1,000, we'll print the entire module in full color regardless of your contribution level.
SECOND STRETCH GOAL: At $1,250 we'll add NPC cards for both NPCs and monsters (over a dozen full-color, glossy cards).
THIRD: STRETCH GOAL: At $1,500 we'll print the module as a hard cover module.
Risks and challenges
This is the second module in the "On Ouisconsin" series. The first in the series has already sold more than 200 copies in 20 states, and 8 countries after only one month.
The first module was a kickstarter campaign, and the goal was to break even and get the project launched. As of this writing, the core campaign was a success!
A local gaming store in Madison Wisconsin has picked up TMR1 ("On Ouisconsin") and the limited profits are being used to fund the initial artwork for this project!
This is my eight book and fourth module, so I think I'm getting the hang of this! In total, we've sold and pre-sold over 500 games. Tomorrow River Games understands the entire process of editing, printing, and distributing games--guaranteeing you'll get your rewards for contributing to this project.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
