Latest proofs - mailing cartons, foil covers, slipcase

Posted by Goodman Games (Creator)

Hi everyone,

We're getting close to the end of the production process. In the last week we received in several proofs which I think you will enjoy seeing!

The shipping carton! (Which will actually be mailed inside another box, so it's more of a fancy storage box.)

Both the shipping cartons! Wait, there are two? Yes, it comes in two depths. If you ordered the Print Pack you have more stuff coming to you, so you get the deeper shipping carton.

The slipcase! Most of you did not add this on, but for those who did, you're getting an awesome slipcase.

Here is a flat digital version of the slipcase which might be easier to interpret.

The foil cover! What you're looking at here is an actual book cover, using real materials, but not yet bound onto a text block.

The leather-bound cover. As above, this is the "real" cover not yet bound into book form.

And finally, the head/tail band. Perhaps the least impressive aspect of today's update! This is the bit of fabric visible at the top and bottom of the binding after the spine is sewn and assembled. We went with "radioactive yellow."

MCC is getting closer and closer! We hope you're as excited as we are to see these latest proofs!

I can't wait for the physical copy. As much as I dislike reading PDFs, I broke down and started reading the PDF of the core rules the other day. Over half way through and it's great stuff.

Looks great. Hope the extra time squashed all the errors

We few. We proud. We slipcase-add-oners. *weeping eagle*

      Arthur Frayn from Zardoz!

      Love it!

Well, the pdfs have been great and I've already gotten to run a handful of games for my group. We've already had a lot of fun with the game and I definitely look forward to holding the finished product.
Also, that's a pretty sweet looking box.

@Sam Drennan — What with adding the extra content based on backer feedback and losing our place in line at the printers, we're looking at 7-8 months late from the initial delivery date. :)

Is it too late to add on a Slipcase?

    8. Mark Markham on

Those look too cool...can't wait, but I guess I gotta.

So that will be, what, a year behind schedule from the Kickstarter original timeline?

Oh my, the foil cover looks amazing. So happy with it :)

Having learned from previous bad decisions, always get the slipcase.
      Looks freaking (mutant) great.

Well heck, now I need a slipcase too!

Hoping I can get a slipcase. I didn't add one on but love my 4th printing DCC slipcase.
