Hi everyone,

Your PDFs are now available! Every backer receives some PDFs for Adventurers Almanac and/or How to Write Adventure Modules That Don't Suck, depending on what level they backed at. Additionally, you may have others if you also included add-ons.

If you are familiar with BackerKit, you can simply log in to find the digital rewards now live. Here are detailed instructions:

1. Go to Backerkit.com and log in. This is the same login you used to complete the survey, give us your mailing address, select your add-ons, etc.

2. Once logged in, you'll see a screen that shows your backed projects (similar to the one below). Click on "Review Details" for this project.

 3. You should see an Order Confirmation screen (similar to one below). There's a blue-green button at left called "Get Your Digital Downloads." Click that and you should see your downloads!

Let us know if you have any issues. Enjoy!

DCC Lankhmar Kickstarter

Our Kickstarter has launched for the Dungeon Crawl Classics Lankhmar boxed set! If you haven’t already pledged, you can check it out here. This is our adaptation of the stories of Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser, the city of Lankhmar, and the world of Nehwon, officially licensed by the estate of author Fritz Leiber!

The Kickstarter launched at Gary Con, and has already cleared several stretch goals. Every backer gets one free adventure module, plus we are printing the maps even larger. And by the time we finish there will surely be more stretch goals!

If you're a fan of old-school adventure modules or DCC RPG, you may already be a fan of DCC Lankhmar without realizing it. DCC RPG is a perfect fit for Leiber’s world and the stories that chronicle it, perhaps more so than any other role-playing game to date. DCC RPG was specifically designed to go back to the classic sword & sorcery stories of Appendix N, the stories that inspired the original fantasy role-playing game, and provide judges and players with the means to replicate the feel of those tales for their own enjoyment. One could say that Leiber and Lankhmar are in the very DNA of DCC RPG, a crucial part of making the game what it is.

Now, thanks to a partnership with the estate of Fritz Leiber, DCC Lankhmar presents the fans of DCC RPG with new role-playing material that comes directly from the tales of Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser. Herein are new lands to explore, new monsters to battle, unique spells to uncover, and a bevy of optional rules to make your DCC RPG game better reflect the adventures that fill Fritz Leiber’s fiction. Partnership with Wizards of the Coast to Reprint Classic D&D Modules

If you're a backer of this Kickstarter, you enjoy great adventure modules. Well, this news should interest you: we are very excited to announce a partnership with Wizards of the Coast to reprint classic D&D modules! The first two titles will be B1: In Search of the Unknown and B2: The Keep on the Borderlands. You can read the full press release for additional information.

We announced this project at our Gary Con seminar. In attendance were gaming legend Mike Carr, creator of B1: In Search of the Unknown and early wargaming pioneer. (Mike also played the very first cleric character ever, in Dave Arneson's original Blackmoor campaign!) Also in attendance was Mike Mearls, current head of D&D design at Wizards of the Coast, and Chris Doyle, who has converted B1 and B2 to 5E. It's a very exciting project to be part of, and everyone was really enthusiastic about the announcement.

@Jay I've just sent you a PM about this. Thanks!

Didn't work for me unfortunately. Didn't they just send out a regular survey? Either way, I was hoping to upgrade to the softcovers, but I guess they're not letting folks do that.

Max's solution worked for me as well:
      > how-to-write-adventure-modules-that-dont-suck.backerkit.com/
      > Get my Survey, entered email, got a new email link, downloaded
      > rewards from there
      >

Thanks for the helpful comments, Max. Glad to hear the file downloads are progressing!

Yeah. This was also a problem for me to access. Luckily Max's comment was spot on and I was able to retrieve the downloads that way.

& You did create an account/enter a password the First time?
In Case way back you also did click on the link only, I think pw-reset won't work because it's Not a fällt completed account

Here's an issue I had. I went to the backerkit website and tried to log in the way that acollins46805 described. I couldn't get in. I selected "forgot password" and input my email address and was told that the email address was not found. So I went through my old emails and found the email that contained the link for the survey, clicked that, and was taken straight to the project's page, logged in, with my information correct. I was able to download the files without incident.

Do you have any idea what happened? Thank you.

    12. Timothy Davis on

@acollins46805 Thanks for the directions. I kept logging into the wrong spot and I wasn't seeing anything

If you start at www.backerkit.com, click the "Log In" link and on the sign-in page look on the RIGHT side of the page under "Are You a Backer?" (not, "Are You a Project Creator?"). Look for the text "Already have a Backer Account?" and press the "Log In to Your Backer Account>>" button.

I didn't get a Backerkit link, and I cannot create a Backerkit account because the signup page is only for creators. What should I do?

What about the cover to the book? Do "PDF Only" Backers only receive the interior pages and not the nifty notebook-looking cover of the book as well?

There does indeed seem to be a huge, big, albeit subconscious, "equals"-sign between the words "adventure modules" and "D&D/AD&D adventure modules"...

      Downloads worked. Thanks!

      @ Braden Walker
I just go back to the old "Survery Confirmation" mail and click the "return to your survey" link. Then I can select Digital Downloads.

    22. Braden Walker on

Never mind -- I didn't need to log in, I just needed to get Backerkit to send me another survey link. From there I can access the PDFs!

    23. Braden Walker on

I don't remember creating a backerkit account, just filling out a survey. When I try to sign up for backerkit, the form fields seem to indicate backerkit thinks I want to create a Creator account. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Thanks!
