Grimtooth Returns! Trapsylvania Looms...
A Trapsylvania Update
By Grimtooth, the Troll of Trolls
Yes, the time has come and I have emerged once again from the depths of my underground cavern complex. You may all rejoice or tremble as appropriate. Now on to why I have returned...
Many moons ago, the adventurous entrepreneurs at Goodman Games visited my realm, and seeing its wonders, begged me to reveal to unwashed humanity, the splendors and horrors of Trapsylvania. After sufficient groveling and the payment of vast sums of platinum ingots, I agreed to give them a tome of greatness that would lay out my little empire so that GMs and dungeon masters everywhere might benefit from my vast wisdom.
The book is all written and I even allowed Goodman Games to add appropriate DCC stats and info on all the characters, creatures and traps within the book, so that all you Dungeon Crawl Classics players could use this book all the easier. There are of course my usual 1-5 skull ratings so that everyone else can use this book as well.
I n fact, all that remains to complete this (perhaps the greatest campaign book of all time) is some additional art, a map or two and the layout. There is one last remaining thing as well, and that is this:
Goodman Games needs to know how many of you out there are willing to pledge your life and your honor (or at least your money) to get a copy of my latest masterpiece.
They need to know how many to print, you see. Ha – I told them to print 200,000 copies to start, but they are far more timid than I. So soon, soon - sooner than you know - Goodman Games will be having a Kickstarter for my book, which will be called Grimtooth’s Trapsylvania by the way. Last time they did this for my Ultimate Traps Collection, it was a huge success, so I expect no less this time ‘round. Over the next few months, I will be regularly giving you updates and a taste of some of the places, traps and art that you’ll find in Trapsylvania.
For now you can take a look at the magnificent cover and some of the art from the book so you get a hint at the madness that dwells within its pages. You meet some of the important residents of Trapsylvania and see how they serve me, and you’ll get plenty of maps of things like my caverns, my airship, the swamp, the Forest of Doom and secret places I dare not tell you of – yet.
All right, you have been warned. Start saving your pennies. You’re going have to get a copy of this book once Goodman announces the Kickstarter. Maybe I’ll see you at Gen Con...and maybe next month I’ll reveal a location and a map you can use...
