Hi everyone,

Here's the latest for DCC RPG 4th printing backers!

Dice, Pencils, Dice Bags...and Catalogues

By now, we hope you've all digested the core book and are playing a DCC campaign. Surely you are enjoying the game, right? So what's next?

Well, we still owe you some swag items. Here are some photos of what you'll eventually be getting...

The "D" "C" "C" dice

Once you get these swag items, you'll know what it's like to run games in the Road Crew - where you get free swag for every DCC game you run!

So when do you get these items? The last of the production run, related to the "D" "C" "C" dice, just came back. The photo above is the advance samples. These are currently being collated and assembled. Once all is ready we'll begin the shipping process - which is still at least a month out. We'll keep you in the loop as it gets closer.

What else do you get? Why, we're glad you asked! The DCC RPG community is large and growing. And so too is the DCC product line, both published by Goodman Games and the third party publishers. Along with your shipment of swag, you can expect to get the new 2017 Goodman Games catalogue, a special new exclusive issue of the Goodman Games Gazette, a couple posters, some flyers...and who knows what else we may toss in?

 Paypal Invoices

We are in the midst of a final audit of the DCC 4th project. Some of you have received Kickstarter messages related to shipping status, as we go back and check every shipment. We're also double-checking the funds pledged against all add-ons. In some cases we are finding discrepancies - for example, a backer ordered $20 of add-ons but mistakenly only added $15 to their pledge.

Over the coming week, a small group of backers will receive PayPal invoices for any remaining balances. If you receive such a PayPal invoice and aren't sure what it's for, please review your Kickstarter survey and double check the "dollars" you pledged against the cost of the items you added on. That should reveal the answer. If you're still not sure, please feel free to message us on Kickstarter for a more detailed explanation!

@Goodman Games - Could you please forward me the invoice that you worked off when calculating the $45 that you say I owe you?
      With thanks,

      @ M.E Snyder

Man this feels like reading my own story. My folder was jammed in a thin envelope with a dice tube, so naturally it wrapped around it. Books sent were messed up, replacements sent were messed up. I don't know what's going on with Goodman Games, I'm more put out that they've decided to write me off and quite helping me than the fact that they're quality control standards have gotten so low. It's a real smack in the face. They were happy to take my money but not to eager to put a lot of effort into fixing their mistakes. The part about a representative telling me he could get in trouble contacting me because they basically decided they were done with me blows my mind. My favorite RPG and the guys making it just seemed to up and turn into a bunch of crooks, pitiful.

Seriously, all previous DCC kickstarters that I participated in went very smoothly. But this one...I also got damaged stuff twice, including my rule book. But I don't even care anymore to try to get it replaced (the main damage is the silver foiling stripped off in certain places and the dust cover edges are banged up.The cornors are a litle dinged up but nothing major, but this was supposed to be a collectors edition. Still, not as bad as whoever actually bent my folders in half and shoved them into a box that they could not possibly fit into without damaging them). I seriously don't know what you guys changed with regards to your packing and shipping process, but what ever it was, it was a bad move. I actually stayed out of the MCC and Lankmar campaign because of these issues. I hope things improve because the people I meet at Gencon every year from GG are always very nice and cool, and I would like to see things get back to the previous level of quality.

And I would like to get my dice...

I also did not receive my "Sezrekan’s Sanguivorous Solids" dice and I emailed two or three times about it and I was told that they would ship with the pencils.

@Jacqui @SkyTwo No worries! We haven't forgotten the module that we later credited. That's already factored in. Thanks!

I've been pleased, and have been backing Goodman projects since (lessons were learned, it seems safe to say).

But as Jacqui noted, I haven't seen any mention of those who paid for the Chaos Rising module during the (clearly traumatic for some) follow-up. And thanks for continuing to slog your way through this.

My stuff arrived in good nick (slightly damp, but I'm not going to hold Goodman Games to account for the weather!) and I'm very happy.

That said, when you're invoicing people for extra, don't forget about those who added an extra $15 (plus shipping) for a module that you later decided to give us for free...
Of course, I don't have paypal, so I'm probably up the proverbial creek anyway.

At the risk of going against the tide, I just want to say that I'm pretty pleased. Yes, my book was a little dinged up, but not enough to worry with. I was very impressed with quality of the materials, particularly the modules that I got. Makes me wish I could afford them all.

I had almost forgot about the pencils and this other stuff, so it's almost like a bonus.

A lot seem to be being brought to light about Goodman Games issues on here so I will add my 2 cents...
I received damaged items because of lack of packing material. I contacted Goodman Games and they sent replacements. Those replacement items were received damaged as well...again because of lack of packing material. So by this time I was pretty livid. I sent an email to them and I did not bite my tongue concerning how upset I was. I demanded a refund in full because I was throughly fed up and disappointed with the lack of quality control and offered to send the items I had left back as well (I got rid of the damaged ones because I was told I would receive new ones, not expecting to get more damaged junk). Well a few more emails and then a period of silence from Goodman and I get an email from a representative stating "he could get in trouble for contacting me but he doesn't want to leave a customer in the dark." Then went on to explain The big wigs at Goodman Games didn't want to work with me on the issues because I came at them "antagonistically." So basically I was mean so they want to shut me out....like some kind of 3rd grade playground politics. I don't think I need to write out how ridiculous this is from a business perspective. They also stated the reason is they (the big wigs) are jaded from past customer dealings...so I'm being punished as an individual customer for other issues they've had, again, I should need to explain how ridiculous this is. I wanted a complete refund for my severe satisfaction and disappointment because if I knew it would be this bad, I wouldn't have given them 1 red cent. But they wouldn't refund in full unless I sent everything back, they denied me that. Whether that's right or wrong on their end is debatable between the way people do business so instead I tried to move to "just send back what I have and be refunded for that." (the items I had left were the sent shipment that arrived more damaged than the first). Well they denied that as well, basically giving me an all or nothing ultimatum, not even willing to refund me for the damaged items in my possession.
As a supporter of Goodman Games and DCC RPG, who's invested a lot of money into the franchise, I feel like I've been severely burned by a company who would love to take my money but turns it's back and crosses it's arms when they provide less that adequate service and don't want to fix it.
