About this project
The film begins with a display of the level of mediocrity that exists in Kiara's life and her passion for writing. Even before the tone and the pace of the film can be defined she is kidnapped by Rafael, a tall and tough bearded man aged 25 years and taken to a place in the middle of nowhere.
Kiara resents a lot at first and tries to escape, creates a scene and is in complete chaos. Strangely Rafael acts in a very calm way with her and there seems to be something that he is hiding from her. Why has he kidnapped her, why has he not been aggressive and will she ever be free, are the questions that are lurking in Kiara's mind.
Needless to stay within all this chaos Kiara finds her peace and begins to write. She realises that she is much more happy in captivity than she was in the real world. The film is all about Kiara's escape from the ordinary world to a different reality . Throughout its course, the film displays the actions of a person suffering from Stockholm syndrome.
The film will be a great investment and sell, because of the issues it deals with. We have tried to keep it very real in order to connect the masses and also tried to deal with issues the common man faces. Apart from that the film ha its due share of entertainment and the pacing is really fast, so as to keep the people engrossed in it.
The character looks have been designed digitally in order to help us with the casting in the film.
We also tried to do a bit of animation with Kiara.
The film will be shot in some locations of London, Bournemouth while some scenes would be shot in Poole Harbour.
We have a crew of 6 very capable people each a specialist in his or her department.

Director and Editor- Chitgunn Singh
Storytelling has always been my greatest passion and have always enjoyed the process to do so. I have directed some shorts and a feature film in the past. Having such an amazing crew is really an advantage for you as your worries go down by 80 percent when this happens, which leads to magic. Apart from directing a film i enjoy editing because I believe that is where the magic happens. Still on the learning stage, I believe films are made in 3 stages and nothing must be neglected. This film is a big jump from my last film and surely will help me a lot in my journey as a film maker
Budget and Marketing
The film has a budget of 3500 pounds with costs including cast, locations, travel, contingency, catering and finally after the completion marketing and release budget. The distribution of cost is the following:-
The costs of casting will include audition fees that will be held in central London and the payment to the actors.
The film will have its first screening at a cinema in Central London and then travel to various film festivals next year. We are aiming to have the first public screening at Berlinale 2018, Toronto International Film Festival or Sundance Film Festival. Other film festivals in consideration are Edinburgh International Film Festival and The BFI London Film Festival.
Extended Goal of 4100 £ - Application to more film festivals and try to have a more higher production value in the film, better actors would be hired. Also more rewards will be added if we raise this bonus.
Risks and challenges
We have bundles of challenges to deal with. As of know the biggest one is finding the right cast and locations. While most of the locations have been scouted and been decided upon, we are yet to finalise the paperwork and permissions.
Apart from that, we aim to find the perfect cast by the end of this month through auditioning somewhere in Central London. Delays and risks involve us not finding the right face for the role. Furthermore more extreme measures would include us having to hire a casting director to help us.
Our plan is to start shooting on the 12th of June and finish on the 19th. The delays can be caused due to the bad weather or permissions but otherwise we are on track. We have been planning each and everything from a while now and really aim to be really efficient on set to reduce delays.
Our whole team will be travelling to poole and one major task is to organise everything for the stay and make sure nothing goes wrong. We have booked the stay and aim at arranging everything days in advance of the production.
There are a lot of small challenges apart from that but having such a great team is a really big advantage and has really helped overcoming difficulties till now. We plan on carrying on similarly and and tackle each obstacle one at a time and emerge victorious at the end.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
