A prototype is a preliminary model of something. Projects that offer physical products need to show backers documentation of a working prototype. Our team’s intention of creating Proxmark3 Rdv4.0 is to create a compact, durable, performance-enhancing product while having it as flexible and extensible.
At the same time, we insist all firmware and functionality of Proxmark3 must be consistent as before while having new upgrade.
Our belief is that the product must be open to be maintained by the community as always.
Secondly, we also believe sharing the process of production function and the process of design of the PCBA/Accessories. We listen to feedback closely.
Lastly, why Proxmark3 Rdv4.0 ? We believe in working on the current Proxmark3 Rdv4.0 with future expansion on hardware and also on the accessories with the option of using contact card too.
The Proxmark3 is a powerful general purpose RFID test instrument originally designed by Jonathan Westhues to snoop, listen and emulate everything from Low Frequency (125kHz) to High Frequency (13.56MHz) tags.
The Proxmark is the only research and development platform targeting NFC and RFID that is capable of both transmitting and receiving while meeting the timing requirements of most proximity protocols. The Proxmark also provides full control over the radio layer in addition to software support for several higher-level protocols

The concept of our team on this product: To bring proxmark3 back to a development tool. No pricy pricing on the PCB assembly so people can feel free to build on it with a lot of kits to help you with it. All the upgrades and improvements are compatible with all versions of the firmware and in addition, we added an external flash and smart card reader that will not interfere with the operation of the older firmware.
Our goal is to continue with the Proxmark3 idea of having it as an open source while embedding new technologies and ideas to the well-known Proxmark3 platform.
