Our purpose is to inspire people to see that when a singular individual
teams up with a like-minded community, the once impossible becomes
being diagnosed with ALS and rendered almost completely paralyzed,
legendary L.A. street artist Tony “Tempt One” Quan gets his voice back
through free open-source technology that reads the movement of his eyes
and enables him to create art and write once again.
intention was not to make a film; it was to help a paralyzed man draw
again. Then one day, through some prompting of friends, the process and
journey began to be documented. 4 years later, and after countless
awards, press and buzz, a film was created that has begun shifting
people’s perspective on what they, as individuals, could change in this
world. This film is about many things, but above all, the film is about hope and the power of human perseverance.

The most common comment and request made by viewers after seeing the film is, “This film NEEDS
to be seen by people.” While a version of the film is complete, there
are a few things that we need to do before a widespread release:
Breakthroughs have been made! We have some new developments in the
technology of the Eyewriter that we must share with the world (Code
name: BrainWriter). Without this, the story would not be complete. This
will entail additional shoot days at the hospital with TEMPT and a
several follow-up interviews.
We have post-production costs with the current version (color
correction, sound) and with the additional footage, we will have
editing, music, sound and additional work to integrate the movie. In
addition, we’ll need to add your names to the end roll!
In order for the film to have a wide release there are some legal
issues that have arisen. We have some legal fees regarding "Fair Use
Law" and logos that must be removed.
Graphic Design: Packaging, collectables, web elements and such must be created before release.
Distribution: In the spirit of our purpose (To inspire people to
see that when a singular individual teams up with a like-minded
community, the once impossible becomes possible.), we’re going to take
the film on tour and build events around
the movie. We’ve found that the traditional distribution model doesn’t
really work for us and we feel that we can reach more people who need to
see this movie by promoting it via tour. We’re kicking off in Los
Angeles in late summer and the more funds we have, the better we are able
to support these events.
Our minimum ask is $55,000, but that is really just the beginning. Here are our longer-term goals:
$55,000: Film is complete. This includes a new ending and all post-production.

funds will allow of better design, DVD production and the ability to get
the word out a little more easily.
lined up Money Mark, Shepard Fairey and other musical guests as well as a crew of
graffiti artists to support the cause and we are planning to kick off a
U.S. tour. We’re shooting for early August and are incurring start-up costs. Plus, there is PR, legal and a host of other expenses
that go along with an event like this.
$250,000: We can support local events with additional funds, making the film more accessible.
