About the Film: Paleontologist Bridget Drake (Kristina Michelle) is devoted to her work. In her search to find a new dinosaur species, she uncovers something nobody knew existed... the remains of a dragon.
But this isn't just any Dragon - this was the Mother of All Dragons. With the remains, she finds a crystallized heart - the spirit of the dragon herself - and is visited by the dragon.
Bridget is transformed into Lady Dragon, and her mission is to put a stop to the evils in this world.
In her search for Evil, Lady Dragon uncovers the biggest source: Poppa Joe (Vernard Adams), a powerful Voodoo Priest; his army of the un-dead; and his princess Pandora (Annette Lawless).
Lady Dragon must put this evil to rest, while keeping the truth about who she really is a secret.
What We Need: We are raising funds for the basic needs of the production. We need at least $7,000. We'd like to pay our main actors and key crew members. There's also the cost of feeding everyone on set, gas expenses to the locations, etc. We're doing all of this in a limited budget, but with enough pledges on Kickstarter, we can make this project a reality.
What happens if we don't get our funding?: If we don't reach our set goal on Kickstarter, we won't have all of the necessary funds needed to make this film. That doesn't mean we'll never shoot it. However, our key people that require money to work on such a project, they won't work on it. The project will be shelved until we can meet our funding through other means.
"What Do I Get For Pledging?": If you decide to pledge to our project - THANK YOU! Not only will you receive the perks listed there on the right, but we will make it our goal to keep everyone as involved as possible. This means regular updates and more. This will be a very fun project, for all of those who choose to be a part of it. We feel there is something in the film/story to be enjoyed by almost anyone. And if that's you, thank you, we couldn't do it without people like you.
Our Goals for the Film: With Lady Dragon, we aren't just stopping with the short film. Of course, the short film will be sent out to festivals. But from there, all of our storyboard art will be expanded and turned into a limited-edition Lady Dragon comic book. Those two things will be paired up and used to promote the story, and we'll use them to find investors for our Lady Dragon feature. Our Kickstarter backers can also receive updates on these projects.
