DEATH MALL! Last Gang Standing (Canceled)
A Battle Royale Cyberpunk Card game
Death Mall! is a battle royale card game where you get to choose from 10 different gangs-- each with their own skills, attacks, etc. Last gang standing rules the mall!
After years of Wars and Plague Humanity has finally gotten its act together and now huge, super-cool malls called MegaMalls are popping up all across the planet.
But all this wealth and never-before-seen sales so too have attracted the world's biggest scumbags and toughest gangs-- all who are waiting to get their grimy paws on some sweet merch.
Each gang has a story. This first set will feature the story of one of the gangs and will include a 4-page mini-comic just like you got with your toys back in the 80's.
(All gang artwork is in progress)
KILLER PUNK ASSASSINS
These are the type of low-lifes you'd find if you were hanging out under a bridge. Total and complete zeros who have nothing better to do than menace mall shoppers. They hang out at the mall in droves and they're not there to shop!
SUBURBAN MOM DEATH STALKERS
There's no end to the greed for these blood-thirsty motherly misfits. They've told their kids they're just going out for a power walk with their friends and will be back soon. What their families don't know is; they're really going to the mall to steal and kill!
These guys lurk in the shadows of the mall's arcade. They're not afraid to take kids' quarters or cut in line for the hottest game. Don't mess with these guys or it's game over, and you'll be the loser.
Who thought hiring insane asylum patients and putting them in mall mascot suits would be a bad idea? Well, apparently something went wrong and now these loons are out to kill!
Credit card bills and bratty kids have taken these ladies to the edge, and now they're complete psychos. Steer clear of these moms or get owned!
CREEPER BATHROOM CLOWNS
Just when you thought someone couldn't stoop any lower these clowns are known to terrorize mall shoppers when they go to the bathroom. Never go to the restroom alone or one of these freaks will surely pay you a visit.
Mount up! It's time to get to that next sale, and these coupon-cutting sociopaths aren't afraid to drop a few fools if it means getting those sweaters at a discount price.
These are the kids everyone can't help from immediately hating. They love expensive department store merch, fancy fragrances and are willing to kill for those pricey threads.
Listening to too much rap music has certainly rotted these hoodlums' minds and now they think it's cool to steal and pillage-- no matter what the cost. Better put on your best dance shoes and show us your moves or these guys will wipe the floor with your face.
Don't let their fleshy-colored attire and roller skates fool you. These are some the scariest freakazoids in the mall. They're from the wastelands and are probably into that S & M stuff. Oh, and...they'll kill ya!
As if running the best all-you-can-eat buffet in the food court wasn't hard enough-- these beef stroganoff-slinging heroes are on a once-in-a-lifetime mission! Hopefully, the lessons of running a restaurant will aid them in utterly destroying all the gangs in Megamall 77. If not, they will surely be completely screwed...
If you're looking to break the law- better think again! The mall's elite police force is heavily equipped to take on all the mall's lawless freaks and losers.
TOXIC MUTANT SEWER RATS
These deadly pests emerge from the sewer systems and terrorize mall shoppers on a regular basis. They don't come up looking for food scraps. They want to bite on human flesh!
He is the manager of Delicious Buffet the All-You-Can-Eat Buffet located in the mall's food court.
The mini-comic included with this game will center around Delicious Buffet's story and their journey through MegaMall 77.
Rule guide - contains all the rules of the game.
Fight! guide - shows the point system you refer to when you pick up a "Fight!" card and have to fight another gang.
Dice Rules - Each player rolls the dice at the beginning of their turn to see what they do. (i.e, play a card from the deck, from their hand, etc.) Keep this guide visible during the whole game.
10 Gang cards - Illustration of each gang and their special skills/attributes
62 Game cards (which include:)
- Event cards in which players receive heavy or light damage, or inflict damage on other players. Sometimes you have the chance to roll your way out of getting losing health. Other times you don't.
- Fight! cards in which you will fight against one or more gangs.
-Power Up and Skill cards which increase your chances and damage output during your next gang fight.
- Health cards and Lose Turn cards
Choose from one of ten gangs. Each gang starts off with 10 health. When your health reaches 0 you lose. Last gang standing rules the mall! Each player will start with 5 cards. During your turn, you will roll the dice to see if you play a card from the deck, play from another player's hand, or play from your own hand. Some of the cards are story-based where you may lose health if you aren't able to roll your way out of danger or inflict damage to another player.
Other cards will allow you to receive health with a good roll, or get power-ups to help you in a gang fight. If you pick up a "Fight!" card you will fight either the player to your right or left and have to out-roll them to win. Certain rolls can win you bonus points to boost your score and increase your odds of winning the fight. Whoever gets the lowest score on their roll loses the fight and, of course, loses health points.
Each gang has special offensive or defensive skills that allow them to avoid damage from Event cards. Their skills can also inflict special damage in a fight, or reduce the damage they receive if they lose. Some gangs are high- risk but give a lot of damage with the right roll. Other gangs are more balanced but good rolls have less impact.

Tom Lintern (Creator/ Co-conspirator/ Illustrator) came up with the idea for Death Mall!
"I remember a day when moms used to wear nylon jogging suits and go power-walking. I thought it would be cool to make a story about power-walking moms who form a gang-- a gang in a futuristic mall. It turned into this."
Tom has had 7 successful Kickstarter campaigns since 2015 for his sci-fi comic series Girrion.
Seth Crofton (Co-conspirator) has worked with a wide variety of video game and board game companies. He came up with much of the initial ideas for the gameplay and will be continuing to help fine-tune things as we go through Beta testing.
Goal and Stretch Goals
The 6K goal is based on the fact that if we get ~ 500 orders the game becomes more affordable to produce. If we get even more backers (1,000+) -- that will enable the price to go down further still, and we will be able to offer higher-quality cards at no additional cost to us or those who back the project.
Risks and challenges
There aren't that many. The art is almost done and there needs to be some more game testing. I've done enough Kickstarter campaigns to understand the process and costs associated with printing and shipping rewards. Seth has a lot of expertise in gaming-- so anything I miss he will surely catch.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
