A Sneak Peak of the Alpha Build

Hey everyone!

We’re on our way to getting our Alpha build together.  Just a sneak peak:

“Exploring through a dangerous dungeon, you walk around and find yourself cornered and surrounded by a large group of hellish demons. Their cold soulless gaze penetrates your armor and causes a shiver down your spine. You summon all your courage, and reach out with your claymore, uttering the holy words of your order. The holy forces hear your prayer and surge your blade with divine energy smiting those before you. Your training in holy magic have been useful, and holy energy now triggers your unforeseen talents. Light blades are sworn to protect you are summoned forth, as holy light burn your enemies. The demons are instantly overwhelmed by your flurry of attacks.

Walking further, you reach a safe spot. An open area with some space to set up a campfire and rest. You survey the area for dangerous traps and potential enemies. You see none. You raise a fire and look through your loot. An ancient staff catches your eye. It’s carved with magical runic writing. It seems to be imbued with a flame enchantment. You place it on your belt and look forward to trying it in battle. Resting your claymore beside you. In the presence of the warm campfire, you begin to have some food and rest.” Yes! You heard that right! You can now make fire, eat food, and use 2 hand weapons (2-hand sword, 2-hand axe, and 2-hand spear)!

We’re also adding a bit of lore and flavor: “The son of the chief knew of druidic magic, there were a few spells to mend the wounded or call for assistance from nature but none of this would be able to help his situation. The winter was cold, and the villagers were starving.... “ - traveling bard

Secret Surprise: We’re making an effort to reduce unnecessary monster grinding. Hopefully, this will allow for more time exploring and enjoying the progression in terms of player skill and world lore. Also if you look at the monsters in the new Alpha carefully, you’ll find they look different than in the demo. More surprises will be in the alpha build coming soon. Stay tuned!

Best,
