Assembly has Started! & Update on Certification
We have a couple of things to talk about today.
First of all, we have now started assembly! After correcting the defect on one of the parts, we have set up the assembly line and started manufacturing. There were a few hiccups in the beginning, but in the end, we managed to get things to work smoothly. We are really excited to see this happening!
Next on the list, is certification. There is good and bad news on this. The good news is that Rayo has passed all of the EMC tests required for CE, FCC, and KC. However, we have been notified that additional tests (LVD) required for CE have been postponed (without any good reason from the lab). This means that while we can start to ship Rayo within the next week to countries out of Europe, European backers may see a little more delay.
We have been informed that the tests are scheduled within next week, but there is also the chance of it being delayed further. We are really frustrated about this, but we also bear the responsibility of not accounting for such situation. We sincerely apologize to our European backers and we will do everything we can to minimize the wait.
Finally, shipping addresses have been finalized. However, if you need to change your shipping address for any reason, please feel free to contact us.
