We have received the first-off-tool parts and wanted to share some photos of the samples. The manufacturer has confirmed that there are no major issues but some minor refinements, such as the adjustment in plastic injection pressure, are necessary for a few parts. These kinds of changes do not require modification of the tooling so they won't cause any delays.
We haven't yet received the samples for the optics, the transparent lens on the front of Rayo, but we have been informed that the samples look good. We will provide some images once we get hold of them.
As for the straps, we made samples using two different materials. The plan is to test these materials to find the most appropriate. In the end, the strap will be manufactured in its intended color, black.
From now, the proper polish or texture, depending on the part, will be applied to the tooling. Also, we will be testing and inspecting painting.
This is all for this update!
