At long last, the shipment with USS Constitution and HMS Victory has been delivered to our warehouse!

Shipments to our Kickstarter backers who are waiting for them will begin in earnest.

Those backers waiting for replacement wooden rulers will receive them together with these ship packs.

Thanks for your patience, and we look forward to the completing of this last and final step of our Sails of Glory Kickstarter.

Victory and Constitution, Where are They?

Sails of Glory Backers,

a brief update regarding the ordeal of our long-awaited new ships.

The container with HMS Victory and USS Constitution has finally reached the delivery hub of our freight forwarder in Chicago. This means that we are now confident that the delivery to our warehouse - and the shipment to you - is really close, a matter of days if not hours.

We will send you a new update as the final delivery is confirmed.

Please also allow me to give a shout out regarding two projects which are dear to us:

  • our friend Tom Maringer, the craftsman who created the beautiful Hyborian Coins in our Age of Conan Kickstarter, is running a project to fund his new production, Game of Thrones Coins... Check it out!
  • we are in the final two days of our Giants of the Sky Kickstarter, funding the production of the most amazing Wings of Glory models ever. These models (and the game) are really good! Whether you are familiar with the "old bro" of Sails of Glory yet, or not (the "Rookie" pledge is for you in this case), take a look!

We will be in touch with more news - hopefully VERY soon!

The blockade continues...

Dear Sails of Glory backers,

port congestion in the US looks more and more like a blockade set by our enemies at sea... These are the news we got yesterday regarding our container:

  • LGB PORT ETA CHANGED FROM 2/19 TO 2/26
  • CHICAGO RAMP ETA CHANGED FROM 3/01 TO 3/10

Translated from "freightforwardese", the new estimate is that the shipment including HMS Victory and USS Constitution will not land in the US until next week, and will not be in our warehouse until the 2nd week of March. If all goes well :-(

We will continue to keep you updated as we receive further information.

Thanks for your support and patience, we all hope the wait will be over soon!

Container delivery schedule bumped forward 2 weeks!

Sails of Glory Backers,

the title says it all. Yesterday, our freight forwarder notified us that the scheduled delivery of the container includiing HMS Victory and USS Constitution has been postponed.

The delay is due to the congestion on the West Coast port that the Wall Street Journal described a few days ago as a "massive cargo traffic jam".

Currently, the new scheduled delivery date of the container to our warehouse is Feburary, 18th. This date may be subject to change (for better or worse) as the situation develops.

It looks like the winds are not blowing in the right direction for this release. Please accept our apologies for this further strain on your patience.

Thanks for your support,

Victory & Constitution - Here they come!

Sails of Glory Backers!

The long wait is finally at the end. The shipment including the production of HMS Victory and USS Constitution is scheduled to be unloaded at our warehouse in the USA next week.

The combination of densely-packed schedules in production and shipping from our suppliers, bad weather, and customs, added more weeks to our last estimate. (As a side note, the year had a rough start for me personally, with a pretty bad bycicle accident and a few broken bones here and there - big impact on me, but no impact on this schedule, fortunately, as the ships were already sailing to destination).

To make a long story short, the container is now finally scheduled for delivery (current estimate February, 4th, but always take these dates with a grain of salt). We already asked the factory to pre-package a number of these ships together, in a sturdy small brown cardboard box including one copy of each, so that we can minimize the effort of shipping them out again (after we add the replacement rulers as necessary).

We hope that the beauty of these two models, and the nice gameplay enhancements devised by our authors to make them stand out from "ordinary" Sails of Glory models, will somehow compensate the long wait.

If you requested these ships direct to us (during or after the Kickstarter campaign), we already have your address - but it was a long while ago we got it! So we appreciate a lot if you can reconfirm your address using our new system at http://ks.aresgames.eu/ before the end of this week (February, 1st)

Some of you still did not confirm your address. Please check your e-mail, we sent you a code in December to use in the system, that allow us to take into account your previous payment.

If you did not confirm the address again in the new system, we will still consider your order to be valid, of course, but we might have problems in case your address changed! We will try to recontact individually all of you to be safe before we ship - but if you use the automated system will save us some precious time...

Last but not least, please note that starting next week you will find in stores our first Spanish ships, take a look! These ships - repaintings of Wave 1 models - were not a part of the Kickstarter offerings, so we hope you will support your preferred retailer by adding them to your fleet.

Thanks again for your wonderful support and patience,
