A group of young science prodigies have been kidnapped.
They've used their wits to evade death traps and killer robots as they struggle to find the way out.
Now, the true nature of their crisis will be revealed!
When we left off, mysteries deepened and major characters were left to an unknown fate. Now we will finally start to get some answers. Buckle up for more action set pieces, more great character moments, and a mind blowing reveal you won't want to miss.
Geoff Weber, is creator and artist for The Scientists, which he's finishing in memory of friend and Scientists co-creator, Trent Beckett. Trent was a quarter-finalist in the ASA Screenwriter's Competition and wrote 8 feature length screenplays, 3 of which, he and Geoff collaborated on. The Scientists was the last project they worked on together.

Stuart Chin and his fellow prodigies all travel to a national science fair at the mysterious pyramid shaped Hofzinser Institute.
They are abducted and awaken to find themselves wearing hazmat suits lost in the maze-like corridors of the facility somewhere deep underground.
They don't know the reasons for their kidnapping or who they can trust.
They learn the threat is real and they're going to have to learn to work together if they hope to escape!
Now the mysteries have begun to deepen...
and major characters are left to an unknown fate!
Find out what happens next in The Scientists Part Three: No Control
Kickstarter has become THE premiere platform for independent creators like myself to be able to bring our projects to public and get them made with out needing to get permission from a corporate gatekeeper. I really appreciate the direct connection it enables between audience and creator.
Parts One and Two have both been successfully funded and fulfilled through Kickstarter, so I have found a system that works and I intend to see the rest of this project through to the end. I am committed to finishing what I start!
All the previous issues are still available, so this campaign is the perfect jumping on point for new readers as well.
What will the funds be used for?
As we enter into the final week, here are the potential rewards that can be unlocked if we surpass the $1000 (minimum) funding target. I have additional reward ideas beyond this, but lets not get too far ahead of ourselves! The pop up cards are very cool, check it out:
The Scientists of Tomorrow
In the world of the Scientists, our main characters are science fair winners who have been hand picked to compete in the prestigious Hofzinser Science Fair Invitational. Prior to this there were local and regional fairs across the country from which the pool of nominees was chosen. One such group posed for a picture labeled, "The Scientists of Tomorrow" in their school yearbook. I intend to create this picture in comic form with my kickstarter backers playing the part of the students.
I will draw your likeness (or the person of your choice) in a cartoon style group picture. You will be holding an object to represent your chosen science project. Physical reward backers will get a print of this included with their reward. Digital backers will get a high-res desktop background sized image. This reward is currently available to backers at $50+ tiers.
I have tapped into my magician skills to bring you:
Thanks for checking out The Scientists!
Your support is what makes this whole thing possible. I am forever grateful to be able to share this story with you guys.
Be sure to join the experiment, and pledge!
Risks and challenges
With over 150 pages of art complete, I already have more than enough content to create the first three volumes, so you can back this project with confidence. I will be placing the printing order immediately after the campaign concludes.
I successfully launched and fulfilled issues 1 and 2 of this series on kickstarter and have proven that I am a creator who follows through. As a ComixLaunch alumni, I have done my homework on what is involved in executing a kickstarter campaign and have access to many kickstarter veterans to help me with any questions I might have. As with any kickstarter, there is always risks... but I will be completely transparent through regular updates and communication if there are any unexpected obstacles.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
