About this project
We hope you enjoyed our video! If you missed it - just click the play button in the middle of the project image above, sit back, and enjoy the Wavez!
1. To produce a weekly, one hour audio podcast that features original songs by 12 Indie Artists per show. Time line is one year, which means 52 shows, right? This will spotlight around 640 bands/artists for the year.
2. To get 100,000 podcast subscribers in one year.
3. To re-energize this tired old world, see to it that it gets a boost in the bucket with new sounds, and give our listeners a reason to fall in love with ‘radio’ all over again.
Indie Music Wave – Nearly Famous Unknowns (IMW - NFU), is the focus of this project. We would love your help to take it to the limit. This is a music showcase to spotlight original material by independent musicians.
In every sense this is a multimedia music, art, and entertainment experience - embracing audio, video, and web casting. You can catch a glimmer of this project here: IndieMusicWave. The new page for the project will really shake, rattle, and roll.
This is how you can be involved with the release of the hottest new sounds on the planet:
- You can opt in to be a Programmer or Sponsor, which includes choosing songs for shows by your favorite unsigned artists or bands. Let’s remember these programs are for ALL AGES, so none of those funny words George Carlin warned us about. K?
- Be a VJ or DJ. Pick out music videos by your fave indie artists to post on our Wall.
- All Program Directors can make recommendations for bands or individuals they believe are deserving of The Golden Wave Award. This award is given as recognition for community service, or given to a band for selling a boatload of albums on their own, or an individual who has made a selfless contribution to our world.
Each weekly RSS feed will be available as a Free On Demand show, or as a download from the website and countless other directories. The episodes will be dated, include the play list, radio and video promos, along with a monthly update on the number of subscribers. The Producers will be named as well.

Choose the Golden Wave Award Winners!
The $15,000 goal will be about 20% of the budget for this year-long production. Costs will include a small office and studio, Internet connections for computers, and part-time 'nerds' to help organize this project. Cell phones, skype and email will function as our primary communication center. Marketing and world distribution all factor into the picture, with some complicated web work behind the scenes. Serious organization will be needed to expedite all the input and decisions our backers get to make.
About half of the songs we spotlight on the shows will be chosen by backers, We'll also be posting the promos by DJs and VJs, compiling all the material for the shows, writing copy, doing research on the bands, production and editing. Releasing all the material in a timely fashion is key, and will be a full-time endeavor, which includes tracking the success of the project.
When the funding is met, the programs will be launched in August 2012. Come Wave with us ... Thank you so much for your support!

Hi Carmen! I just wanted to thank you for the spectacular intro for my song. I only hope I can live up to it! The entire program was fantastic You certainly know how to find talent. These bands and musicians are really good. The heck with record labels. The heck with regular radio for that matter. I could listen to a show like yours forever and be as happy as a clam.
