Have a question?
@M Lawler. Have sent you an email.
My initial pledge was only for 30 pound but I was pretty sure I added enough for the fiddler in the PM. Any way I can check that?
White Dragon.. I am pretty sure I was supposed to receive a Fiddler.. which.. I didn't.
just sorting mine out now and this will officially be my first kickstarter to fulfill everything :) looking forward to seeing more stuff down the line.
Just had email about the system for replacement parts (for those who ordered things but got alpha teams instead).
Just wanted to say it was very very quick in response (emailed back as requested, and got a reply within minutes), and a very smooth easy checkout on their site :)
so yeah, thanks WDM, very happy customer, and very simple solution :D
They were comparison pics in update 22, in October 2015 :
Others here :
One more from dwartist on TMP, posted on 1st January 2016 :
Didn't get any tanks myself.
The sniper gun's barels were slighlty bent but otherwise the minis are great.
Opps meant to say WDM!
If you are able, would you be kind enough to photo the tanks, along with the infantry so i can gage the size, please. You may have already posted this and i missed it. The tanks are the only thing i didnt get. But i just may get them off your webstore soon.
Flush cutters (often called nippy cutters) work great for removing things from sprues. The jaws are flat on one side (thus, they can cut flush). You can get them at any electronics/computer store for cheap, or any hobby store for not cheap.
Note that resin is more brittle than plastic, so it's probably better to cut them off the sprue away from the surface and trim the remainder with a hobby knife. This helps avoid accidentally cracking the base when the resin snaps.
Another method is to use a jeweler's saw and slow, low pressure strokes of the blade. Note that resin dust is bad for you if you inhale it, so be careful while sanding/cutting. Lee Valley Tools and Busy Bee Tools (I think) sell jeweler's saws in Canada, as well as a ton of useful tools for miniatures work.
And just under an hour later, my package shows up at the door.. funny how that works out sometimes. They look great! Any recommendations on how to get the minis off the sprue?
Oh, Just read the comments below.. some people have.. I guess I just need to keep waiting.
Hey guys, has anyone here in North America (Canada) gotten their items yet? No sign of my order here yet.
I had a couple of soldiers broken off from their bases. also in the ziplock bags were quite a bit of loose resin pieces that broke off from larger pieces... I don't even know where to start to put the things together. I think I'm also missing an armadillo....
I also got the wrong thing, 2 Alpha Teams instead of 2 Armadillos. Already sent an email. Nice little men otherwise.
I got my package today (Ontario, Canada). The mix of teams was off (6 Alpha, 4 Bravo, should have been 5 each, not a big deal), and I was missing one Proteus with Cannon. I sent an e-mail so hopefully that will get sorted.
That said, these minis look great.
My Fiddlers arrived and I'm stoked. Built my larger scale Fiddler over two years ago and would love to know if some kind of assembly instructions exist for the 15mm version. Want them to go together correctly.
Received mine on 1/6/16 in Colorado.
Missing 1 Armadillo but seem to have received extra infantry sprue.
Also a couple of the infantry are bent.
Should have ordered an extra Talos team.
Received mine today in Park Ridge, Illinois. A few broken gun barrels I'll deal with, but more importantly a missing X4 Centurion UVC. I guess I'll be in touch.
Got mine a few days ago in California
Besides Adam, has anyone else in the States received theirs?
Instead of water best to use steam, hotter than water and easier to move the part around. But would still hold with a figure with a pair of pliers
Got my box in Maryland USA. Very nice can't wait to paint up. Only issue was the box was torn open on side. Worst package every received from UK. Like someone made it fit in a container.
Package received! Looks great, but MIA some troopers. Email sent.
Nice to hear the hot water trick works. Incredible detail, so fine and fragile looking! Some troopers are very bent and warped but thats not an issue then. I really hope you will expand the range in the future. Preferably with an opposing force - something new and original. Happy new year everyone!
Going through my box this morning. Awesome looking sculpts. I can't believe how crisp the details are. I did notice, however, that the bases for the infantry are quite thin and can be torn when clipping them from the thick sprue. Not a significant issue, though, as I'll be rebasing them. I was worried that the thin autocannon on the Fiddler could snap and mine did in transit. A little superglue needed to right that though.
@Mark - If you put the model in hot water, it will be easy enough to straighten out and repose it to normal.
Received mine yesterday. Only just had a chance to check them out. Nice casts, some awkward flash on one of the power armour figures and one of the normal troopers has ended up standing at a 45 degree angle due to packing but otherwise very happy.
Picked mine up today from the post office, really happy with the minis (haven't assembled them yet) and looking forward to testing them out for scale purposes in my game that's having a delay or two :P
Received 2x alpha teams instead of one alpha only and one Charlie but will send an email. Thanks to white dragon minis, prodos and mantic (I would have had them before Xmas but I didn't hear the knock on the door :) )
I must admit, while the quality of the mini's is great, the sprue it's attached to is a little... dodgy... to look at (clearly just a sausage of blu-tac or Plasticine) :P
except for the proteus... which says 'prodos' on it...
should really all have a nice professional bar that says 'white dragon minis' on it, but maybe thats just me being too fussy ;)
Drop us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
got my box today. amazingly detailed. BUT its not my pledge !!!
I have 3x team alpha and zero mule in my corporal pledge.
now where is the support Email ?
side note: ask prodos for your name on the sprues . looking at them you have the feeling it s a prodos product not a white dragon miniature
Got my box this morning, now to do a detailed check and assembly
looks great at first glance (and well packed)
Sprues, not sprites!
Just about sorted through all the goodness I received yesterday.
The detail is stunning, as expected ;)
It's true that the sprites are awkwardly placed on a few parts, but anybody attempting to build such a beauty as the Fiddler shouldn't have a problem dealing with that. Really looking forward to trying out some poses with that one!
The Centurion vehicles are superb too. Nicely futuristic with a familiar feel to them.
The Stryx and Talos are simply gorgeous.
Many congrats to all involved, from concept to production. I can't wait to daub them with paint!
got my stuff yesterday, But there a many damage parts,
and some casting errors on the fiddler.
And I miss the one proteus. Pls contact me.
Even I don't like the sprue position of the fiddlers main body part. Overall the sprues a not quite good placed. Many unnecessary work to do.
BUT the minis a very shine I like it. And it will be a pleasure to paint it.
Quite possibly the best quality 15mm figures I have ever recieved - when's the store unlocked?
Hi WDM Team ... really excited to get my package ... except I think I have received all the wrong items ... Would you contact me please
My models arrived today as well, and I am blown away by the detail of the 15mm models. The resin has really captured the detail. Congratulations on the success.
BTW how are people choosing to base these?
Glad you are all getting the parcels! Its fantastic that some have made it to you all for christmas. Soon enough the rest of the world will be getting the parcels arrive. Have a lovely christmas everyone, and look forward to the new year and launching the webstore.
My little package of awesome arrived this morning too :D
very very nice, cracking good details.
merry xmas all :)
My pledge arrived through the post this morning and the quality of the final product is bloody brilliant. Hats off to everyone at White Dragon.
