About

We are raising funds for the production of our game, Golfshewz.  We will use the funds to create more products to sell online.  As our product gets off the ground and and more orders come in, we are planning on licensing our product to sell out of retail stores.

Rules:

Simply because this game is awesome, the order of play will be determined by a 2-out-of-3 game of RPS (that’s rock-paper-scissors to all you newbies). The first player putts all three golf balls from behind the designated line followed by the opponent's three balls. In putting a ball, the player may not cross the foul line. The object is to putt the balls into or near the horseshoe centered at the opposite end of the putting surface (scoring is explained below). Games are played to 21 points.

Scoring:

Golf balls are only allowed to cancel out other golf balls of the same scoring value. Any ball must be within one golf ball-width (measured by another golf ball) of the horseshoe to be considered for points (official rules call for 1.68 inches max). The closest ball to the horseshoe gets 1 point. If you have two balls closer than any of your opponent's, you get 2 points, etc. If the ball is in the horseshoe, it is considered a ringer and is worth 3 points. The ball must completely enter and stay inside the horseshoe so a straight-edge can run across the entrance (outer edges of horseshoe) without touching the ball. If you have the closest ball and a ringer, it is 4 points. If your opponent putts a ringer along with yours, they cancel and no points are scored. If a ball is caught on the lip of the horseshoe or touching the horseshoe on any side, it is considered a leaner and is worth 2 points. You are always allowed to knock your opponent’s balls out of scoring position. Only one player may score on a given turn and that player will putt first for the following turn.

Risks and challenges

The risks of this game are the obvious competition. There are many games out there that are very popular. Our game has a unique personality that can grab everybody's attention. Putting has always been a great way to pass time. People putt in their offices, on their living room rugs, and they enjoy mini-golfing. Golfshewz is an opportunity to put those putting skills to use against an opponent. Everybody loves a challenge.
