Hi friends, thank you for visiting our Kickstarter page!
Milkshake is a band that plays rock music for kids and kids at heart. While touring the country and releasing 4 award winning CDs, Milkshake has helped give new meaning to children’s music and created a unique concert experience for families to share. Along the way we’ve earned a Grammy nomination for “Best Musical Recording for Children” and appeared regularly on Nick Jr. and PBS KIDS.
Kids should have music to call their own, something that reflects the limitless beauty, energy and imagination of childhood. Through our shows, CDs and DVDs as well as social media, Milkshake has created a true interaction with fans.
Our newest project is one of our most challenging and exciting yet, and we’d like you to be a part of it. Inspired by a series of one minute songs we recorded for PBS KIDS several years ago we were amazed at how much could be said in such a short amount of time. That’s when we dreamed up Got a Minute? an album consisting of those original PBS songs and 20 - 30 new original, quick hitting tunes lasting 2 minutes or less. Here's a link to view one of the PBS KIDS songs we'll include on the CD: "Sally Had a Green Thumb"
The process of recording additional material, mastering, artwork and manufacturing will be expensive. We’ll need help, and we feel Kickstarter is the best way to pull it together. With pledge awards and updates, we want you to know how important you are to the project. This is truly something we can’t do without you. Rewards include downloads, CD copies, limited edition Kickstarter-only T-shirts and tutus, as well as house concerts and even song topic ideas and a visit to the recording studio while Milkshake is in session.
We’ve loved being a part of your family experience and thank you tremendously for bringing us so much happiness. Please do what you can and help spread the word to make Got a Minute? another super-fun Milkshake CD! And visit and like our Facebook page and keep in touch with other things Milkshake :)
Special thanks to Bob Rose and Rob Zeman for filming our video for Kickstarter; David Beaudouin for being a great "rich guy"; and Annie Applegarth and the folks at The Cloisters for letting us film on the grounds of this beloved Maryland mansion.
