**Please help us spread the word about this project!**
From all of us... THANK YOU for believing! Your pledge will truly help make dreams come true!
Q: Where can the film be seen after it is completed?
A: The filmmakers will be submitting the movie to film festivals across the entire world. Based on the Director's strong showing with his previous films, we hope to have Dreams of the Last Butterflies screening in a large number of international festivals. Following our festival run, we'll make the full film available online, where it will be further promoted across the internet!
Q: What cameras are you using on the film?
A: We are thrilled to be using an ARRI Alexa. The images from these state-of-the-art cameras are not only profoundly cinematic, but truly beautiful, with an exceptionally film-like, organic look. These are the same cameras recently used to shoot the worldwide blockbuster "The Avengers."
Q: What will my donation be used for?
A: Your pledge will be used to help us cover the considerable expenses involved with making a world-class short film. Funds will go to such uses as obtaining lighting and camera equipment, labor and costs involved with designing and creating our custom wings and costumes, location fees, insurance costs, transportation, prop manufacturing, set decoration, color correction and other post-production effects, paying our large professional crew, and even feeding our Butterfly Queens on the set!
Q: Will the film still receive any pledge money if the goal is not met?
A: No! Kickstarter is an all-or-nothing fundraising platform. We need to reach our goal at 100% by the deadline to collect any of the pledges. Without these funds, the film (and all of our hard work!) might never see the light of day. So every amount helps! Also, keep in mind - your credit card will not be charged unless we make our goal by the deadline.
*A note to Lepidopterists and Butterfly enthusiasts: Rest assured, the villains in the film (now called 'The Trappers') are mercenary-soldiers that will be specifically equated with the practices of human greed, corruption, and uncaring. We are well aware of the value responsible collecting provides, especially to provide data that helps protect these sensitive species. To further clarify our point, the villains will no longer be using nets - instead, they will use fire!
