We will patent the technology as Blinklums® - a thin, flexible, water resistant lighting system able to be incorporated into new and far-reaching product applications across multiple markets. Blinklums does not fail to light so technically it has NO end of life, rather it is the decaying luminance level (brightness) in a particular application that determines when it is no longer useful. No ultraviolet ray . Even though their performance and technology has advanced, pricing has reduced.

How is it Unique?
It's not a secret that there are other background light panels. However, We have tweaked its chemical formulation and complex manufacturing process which has enhanced it's luminance and optimised it's longevity. We have even made it smart by adding custom processor and perfected the art of current flow and stabilised its frequency to enhance Blinklums life cycle.
I have worked on the chemical formulation by adding 2 active ingredients and 1 inactive ingredient and will be producing blinklums in my own manufacturing plant. This process a dye printing process. The back electrode and the protected layer is merged which helps in even supply on electricity which i will patent. Finally, We have created a customised power source which creates high frequency to emit more brightness, and even it has light controllers.

How to power a Blinklums?
Blinklums need a power source providing alternating current (AC). The high efficiency of Blinklums allows useful light to be produced even with line current (100v, 60 Hz in the US). Power derived from an AC wall outlet is usually not at a high enough frequency power for Blinklums. In this case an inverter must be used to change the power for the Blinklums to a higher frequency, which is included with every reward. We have even optimized it for best result. Power use for Blinklums is very low and is generally limited by the efficiency of the inverter circuit. Thus we have optimized the efficiency of Blinklums by optimizing the inverter. Blinklums consume very little power, using only 18 milliwatts per square inch. As a point of comparison, a 60-Watt light bulb uses as much current as 100 feet of Blinklums. Blinklums can even run on battery. Battery pack will be available on the website after reaching the goal.
Any kind of art work can be pasted on Blinklums. For a photo frame we have printed on transparent sheet. You can also use normal paper prints.
Blinklums are only 0.012" thick. Blinklums do not generate heat, and therefore need no special venting.

Though some Blinklums are up and running, We need your help with tooling and production materials for the Blinklums. With the funds generated from this Kickstarter campaign, we will have the resources to fully complete the Blinklums production and offer it to the community.

I see in recent times the upcoming and ever-growing demand when it comes lighting, and that is where Blinklums comes into existence. The thought of making a lighting device which illuminates an equal share of light from its area was out main motive. Where I thought of a sheet which emits light. Though this wasn’t as simple as it seems. At initial stages the luminance wasn’t what we expected, but then I worked on its chemical formulation and altered the initial composition resulting in a better and brighter Blinklums.
Soon realised that I had to work out the power options of blinklums. The basic and the most appropriate way was using a normal DC power source and a small transformer to feed the panel with the desired amount of current. But what pricked me was that we live in a tech savvy world, owning laptops, Mac has become a trend, so why not go with that trend, and that is when my team member Bindraban Soni, an electronic and telecommunication engineer himself proposed an option of using high frequency to emit more brightness as an alternative power options. We achieved this by making certain changes with the hardware of the blinklums, making it a product that serves you wherever you are. Using the high frequency to power blinklums makes it a multipurpose product. Firstly, it can be used as a mouse pad, making it more interesting and appealing to work. Secondly, the luminance of blinklums is sufficient to read and write, serving as a night lamp altogether.
There is by far no lighting device that can be tailored to any shape and size. Also it has been seen that the there is a fear of being electrocuted when holding any lighting device directly, and u surely don’t hold a lit bulb while standing on a wet floor or taking a shower, do u? These aspects made our research more challenging but at the same time really interesting. I worked to achieve this aim. I worked on the different alternatives and compositions that can be used to make blinklums Flexible, but at the same time we had to make sure it can be tailored to any size and shape just by cutting it with a pair of scissors. Constraints were many and options were very less. Keeping in mind all the aspects I came up with just the right ingredients to make blinklums set a benchmark in the field of lighting: “A shockproof, flexible and waterproof lighting option: The BLINKLUMS”. At the same time when u shape it to your desired shape, the chemical present in the panel doesn’t flow out, since it has been composed in such a way.
During the final stages of testing the Blinklums, thought of going green: “Save electricity”. Let’s make Blinklums a low power consuming lighting option. This was another attribute added to my research. Blinklums consume very little power, using only 18 milliwatts per square inch. Irsan Mehar is the creator of blinklums. After doing research and development on chemical enhancement and Operation optimization from his graduation days, He has decided to bring his love for lights and knowledge together in creating Blinklums.
Bindraban Soni, an electronic and telecommunication engineer. He is the one behind the Blinklums power source. He has done a amazing job by reducing size and weight on power source. He has even optimized the frequency of the power source which helps blinklums light brighter.
Risks and challenges
We have already overcome most of our greatest challenges. Some of these included creating our prototype design, finding manufacturers and suppliers, and introducing this to Kickstarter.
