So the Bicycle Ferris Wheel is a huge hit. Everyone loves it. 3 people pedal and each person can 'feel' the flow as it spins and if your lucky, patient and strong you can flip and go upside-down. It's awesome. We had it on a boat last year, but it took 4 days to erect it and 2 to take it down. The Ferris Wheel just sat on a trailer all year.
We decided that we needed to make the trailer ampibious, so we can just back it into the water and make it float. We do the work once, and it will launch like a boat. We can then use it for years and years and bring it to other water events. But we have to buy a bunch of stuff and have a bunch of parts made on the CNC Plasma Cutteing Machine. We need to use a bunch of new stuff because it all has to be safe for kids.
We need $3,500 for parts and pieces. So that's what we have put the Kickstarter for. It will take Paul 2 weeks to assemble this. It would be nice if we can pay him $150 a day; which would be $5,000 total. (actually, $4,300, if you include Kickstarter fees and stuff)
Float the Ferris Wheel!!!!!
Risks and challenges
The challenges of nautical design are too numerous to list here. The real challenge is to keep yourself from laughing out loud as you are building impossible things like this!!!!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
