Hi all,

Exciting news: Books have begun to land!!

(h/t Stephen for this photo of his shipment!)

If you haven't received your package yet, hold tight—it should reach you within the next couple of weeks.

Last week, I found the original Google Doc of the manuscript for "Our President Was Called Barack" from when I first started working on the concept and the story. The document is dated May 27, 2017—so this project went from a Google Doc to a book you'll hold in your hands in just about a year, thanks to your help.

Thank you again for making it possible. I hope you and your kids enjoy your books—please use the hashtag #BarackBook if you'd like to share your photos with the group :)

I was happy to support you, I loved President Obama. I hoped by supporting you I'd add to the positive-ness of my country, and I think we need more of that than ever now. I hoped also that by supporting you I might learn something along the way (my own book, totally unrelated is about half way finished).
Today my book came. I like it. It's nice. It's what I expected. The book measures about 8x8x0.5 inches for a total of ABOUT 32 cubic inches in volume.

The box it came in was about 13x9.5x15, for a total of ABOUT 1853 cubic inches.

How do you explain that? Was it less expensive to send a box big enough to hold almost 58 books less expensive, or better for the environment, than sending it in an envelope? Really, there must be an answer to this. I'd love to hear back. Charlie Arbuiso from Endwell, NY.

PS: I hope you buy my book when it's written. I hope to send my books out in much smaller packaging. This was like a joke today.
