Happy 2015 and Such!
Hello friends, Jon and Ryan here! We hope you're settling into your 2015s nicely! We've made lots of progress so far this year, and we'd just like to get right to the news:
That's right! We're finally ready to release something for the backers to play. We've finished off the final storyline, and our remaining task list is dwindling. This will be a backers-only alpha, which we'll either distribute through steam or humble. We'll have more details on how to get the alpha when we're ready to give it to you folks.
What's left to do before the alpha? At this point, the game is fully playable, start to finish. We need to run an internal test pass, and likely fix a handful of bugs (at least any that might prevent you from playing the full storylines). Besides that, we really just need to set up distribution, and update the backer site to hand out keys.
The main tasks remaining on our plate now are polish and bug fixing. Most of this work should go pretty quickly though. There are a handful of areas that still need interactions (which is mostly writing, little setup), a few side storylines to complete (1-2 simple quests), and some world building. These are largely animations, which again don't take too long.
At the moment, we're looking at 1-2 more months of dev time hopefully and then once we're wrapped up, we can have it in your hands 1 month after (as some of our distribution partners need time to set up on their end).
Ok, enough business for now, how about...
"What are those?" we hear you scream. Violently. Kindly control yourselves, people. Anyway, those are a few of the icons for our 50 achievements. Presented, as usual, with no context. Feel free to speculate, of course, though you owe us 50% of any gold you might find.
