Falling for Fal
Hello, friends, family, and backers one and all! After a one month unplanned absence, Jon and Ryan, are back once more to put words into your face. The past two months have been quite busy for the both of us, and we apologize for lapsing on September. Jon, moved back to Wisconsin in September, which (between packing and actually moving), kept him quite busy. Ryan, on the other hand, went on a family vacation near the end of the month. Other than that, we've kept busy, but as we're getting down to the end of the project now, there is less to share! Much of the time is spent now on bug fixing, finishing filling out the world, and polish, so there's not quite as much fun stuff to share. Regardless, we've got a few neat things to show off for the past few months.
On another note, September saw the completion of the Mafia Questline. The ending took some time to do properly, but we're thrilled with how it's turned out. That's three down, one to go (and Politician is quite far along already). You guys, for seriously... we're the ones making this game, and we still squeal (well, at least Ryan still squeals) at each ending so far. It's still amazing seeing these questlines in their final (save polish/bug fixes) forms after so long. We know it's been a long wait, but we really feel that it will be worth the wait. We hope you guys love it as much as us.
Anywho, how about a bit o'
As always, provided without context. First, some random closeups.
Ooh! And there's these:
We've also got a bit more music to share with you since last update.
Oh, and here are two more tracks that come in at the end of the game. I'll discuss them more in detail shortly, for now, just listen.
Good Ending Intro:
Bad Ending Intro:
Hmm, I suppose we should explain, huh?
I do not believe we've discussed this before, but... Each questline will have multiple endings. They will primarily be good/bad or light/dark endings. We wanted to go down this path because there were so many funny ways for each questline to end, that we wanted to at least have a few each. We'd like to note that these are primarily binary choices near the end of the game. You'll be able to see each ending on a single playthrough, generally, as we save right before the ending choice. This isn't entirely true for the politician questline, though. That one actually watches your performance through the quest and allots you an ending based on how well you do. That one will require multiple playthroughs to get each ending!
Either way, we're quite pleased with how they've turned out so far!
Well friends, that's all we have to share this month. Rest assured, we're still progressing, despite our quiet the past month. Nose to the grindstone and all. We'll be back in your face soon. Ooh yeah, also...
