Contributors For Upcoming Issues -- Jessica Amanda Salmonson, John C. Hocking, Jess Nevins, and Many More Added to Line-Up!

Posted by Jeffrey Shanks (Creator)

With just a few days left in the KickStarter, we thought we'd thought we would give you a look at our tentative preliminary lineups for Skelos 2 and 3. Keep in mind that this is just the start as we are still considering other contributors as well.

We already announced in an earlier update that issue 2 would feature best-selling author of Men of Bronze, SCOTT ODEN, along with Bram Stoker Award Nominee ANGELINE HAWKES, and veteran fantasy novelist ADRIAN COLE.

Since that original announcement, we have added some great contributors to issue 2:

World Fantasy Award Nominee JESS NEVINS contributes an very different kind of Lovecraftian tale. JOHN R. FULTZ weaves a dark tale of swords and sorcery. CHRIS GRUBER throws down with a weird western novelette. HOWARD ANDREW JONES has a tale of historical fantasy, and LISA TOMACEK weighs in with a planetary adventure story.

On the non-fiction side, legendary Robert E. Howard scholar CHARLES HOFFMAN discusses Kull of Atlantis as a gothic tale. SUNY English professor LAURA BROWN contributes an essay on Ray Bradbury. And MacEwan University Classics professor BENJAMIN GARSTAD looks at the Alexander Romance as an early example of the weird tale in late antiquity.

And that's just the start!

 Skelos 3 Line-Up

While the line-up for issue 3 is still in the early planning stages, we can give you a few names that we already have on board. More will be added soon!

World Fantasy Award Winner and legendary author and editor JESSICA AMANDA SALMONSON gives us a tale of Oriental adventure in the vein of E. Hoffman Price. JOHN C. HOCKING, author of Conan and the Emerald Lotus, contributes a dark fantasy novelette. ED ERDELAC has a sward and sorcery tale. GABRIELLE FAUST pens and illustrates a vampire story. MARSHALL HIGHET gives us a touch of her dark humor. And CHRISTOPHER FULBRIGHT adds in some pulpy horror.

So far on the non-ficyion side we have Karl Edward Wagner expert JAKE VANDER WEIDE who weighs in on the legenary Kane series. And Jack Staines looks at cephalopodic symbolism in Lovecraft and other early fiction.

But this is just the beginning. We will have weird verse from K. A. Opperman, Ashley Dioses, Wade German, Frank Coffman, Pat Calhoun and many more. There will be reviews, interviews, and special features. And look for many of our contributors from Issue 1 like KEITH TAYLOR, SCOTT CUPP, CHARLES GRAMLICH, DAVID HARDY, ETHAN NAHTE and others to return in future issues!
