Kickstarting the career of one electronic techno artist one little bit at a time.
Check out the video above to hear from Cole and to sample some of his works in progress!
Cole is an amazing musician, and he'd like to focus his efforts by producing an EP of his electronic compositions. Together we're launching this project on the Kickstarter platform to raise funds to make Cole's electronic music debut.
The way Kickstarter works is that if we reach our funding goal, then we will receive the money and be able to start the project; however, if we fall short, no money will change hands and it all ends there. Boo.
What will the funds go toward? Well, Roger and I are giving Cole a fast new computer, and his challenge is to add the components he needs to produce cool songs.
The specific list is as follows...
- A Digital Audio Workstation (Ableton Live)
- Software audio plugins (Omnisphere, Komplete 8)
- Effects and sample packs (Ozone, Vengeance)
This is a well-rounded set that would help Cole make the productions sound much better and have greater variety. If somehow we exceed our goal, we'll put additional funds toward hardware analog synths, computer hardware enhancements, and more powerful virtual instruments.
I'm providing production support by serving as photographer, logo designer, and physical cd and liner notes producer. And what about snacks?! Yep, I'm doing those too.
The rewards state "EP OR album," and here's why:
- If we raise $1000-1999, then Cole will make a 5-7 song EP this summer.
- If we raise $2000+, then Cole will make a full 10-12 song album instead.
Cole is really excited about the tracks he's working on now, and the more money we raise, the more he can make and release!
We encourage you to contact us through Kickstarter. If you would like to ask about other products we would buy, or have a question about a reward, or even just want to give constructive criticism on the project, we'd love to hear from you!
Cole says simply, "I love making music, and I would like nothing more than to share it with you, too. Thanks for listening, and let's do this!"
Thanks for your support!
