"Painting Buenos Aires" exhibit!

Posted by Charles Cushing (Creator)

Dear "Backers,"

I have set the date for my exhibit of the roughly 25 oil paintings and ink drawings i did on my trip to Buenos Aires! In addition will be two large paintings executed in my studio since my return, and the event will feature a DOOR PRIZE at both openings, and Argentine empanadas and wine.

WHERE: Buttonwood Argentine Tango Dance Studio, 1315 Buttonwood Street, Philadelphia, Pa. (Buttonwood Street is one block south of Spring Garden Street in a light-industrial area adjacent to Chinatown.) safe area, free on-street parking. Look for the sign on a brick two-story building that says "Milongs en Casa."

WHEN: The entire month of March, the paintings will be visible during the studio's hours of class and tango events to those participating in those events. If you are not attending one of these events, you can still view by appointment by calling me at 267-679-7853.

OPENING: there are TWO "openings:" Friday, March 1rst from 9;30-2 a.m. during the Friday night "milonga." And "FOR NON-TANGO-DANCERS:" Saturday, March 2nd, from 1:30-3:30 p.m. This date is more "viewer friendly" as the studio will not be so crowded with dancers at that time, there is, however, a class and "matinee milonga" starting at 3:30 p.m.

The opening is free of charge, but if you participate in the tango lessons or milonga, the cost for each night is $12.00. The work will be for sale and refreshments will be served.  The event page is viewable on my FACEBOOK PAGE, which is CHARLES CUSHING. It is a public page and is viewable if you are not on Facebook. If you ARE on Facebook, if you "friend" me, you will receive updates more easily.

A CLOSING night will be set for pick-up of the work, for those of you who pledged for original work, or who purchase something during the event.

Hope you can attend! Any questions, please call me at 267-679-7853.

Hi Charles...I can't wait to see them all! I love the print I purchased, I had it framed at Michael's Craft Shop and they did a great job! Looking forward to attending Friday, March 1 for the showing /milonga!
