It's official, with 39 backers and over $5200.00 raised, my Kickstarter project met its goal! It kinda hasn't hit me yet...the fact is, I started the project late and took the deadline up to just before departure for Buenos Aires (I am leaving TOMORROW, Monday the 17th, for ONE MONTH!). So, well before I knew it would work, I had committed and bought my ticket. I rolled the dice. But I had to go (further) into debt to do this. So to know now that the money is coming in is a huge relief, and means that I won't return from Argentina literally bankrupt. I will be able to access the funds in about two weeks....
Thanks to you, I will be able to finish the work I started there and mount an exhibition properly. I will execute the "fileteado signs" and produce the "giclee" print from the best painting I did there. Those who pledged for original drawings and paintings will have a chance to view the options, and pick their piece, with first choice going to the first person who pledged in that category, etc.
Even though the project is "retired" as it were, you will still be able to message me via this site. I may only have two or three opportunities to access a computer while I am in Buenos Aires, so I will be "off the radar" for the most part. I'll tell you all about it when I return.
Sometime after I return, possibly in early 2013 after the holidays, we will have an exhibition and a kick-ass milonga / celebration party!
