Draggin Bags are built to be the Toughest Bags on earth. Period.
Montana adventures tend to break things. It is a rough country, with a wild side which lots of gear simply can’t handle. One Montanan childhood and an engineering degree showed a better bag could be designed and built. It was the EMT-B certification which showed it needed to be. The most useful kit, be it first aid or equipment, is the one readily available. With Draggin Bag simplicity and durability, a kit will always be ready, keeping your gear secure.
As Seen On:
Materials and Construction
Draggin Bags are made out of Military Spec, USA made, 3” nylon webbing instead of regular fabric. The thick webbing is nearly indestructible, abrasion resistant and has a breaking strength of 3,200 lbs, making it almost impossible to rip or penetrate, just like a Dragon’s hide.
We take no shortcuts when it comes to construction. All webbing ends are melted to prevent fraying. We use thick, heavy duty nylon thread. Every seam is at least double stitched, with stress areas receiving even more stitching for the ultimate in strength. Double stitching regular fabric weakens it, which is why many seams bust and handles rip out after hard use; Military Spec webbing on the other hand remains unfazed.
We use the best American made zippers we can find, extra heavy duty. Zipper pulls are nickel plated, to ensure long lasting reliability. Most bags, even much larger in size, forgo such beastly zippers, but for an overkill Draggin Bag, it is a necessity.
Draggin Bags are ideal for marine environments, as the webbing breaths and allows water to drain out. This helps prevent tools from rusting, gear from rotting, or your clothes from mildewing.
After building bags for my own rough-and-tough adventures, three sturdy designs evolved. Each design went through numerous iterations to perfect. As friends saw the bags, they wanted their own Draggin Bags. I began giving a few away, and realized others needed a more durable bag too.
The Draggin Bag line up current is comprised of three bags. The Delta, Romeo and Alpha Bag.

The first Draggin Bag. The inspiration for the Delta Bag came while I was training to become an EMT.While I have always packed a fairly comprehensive first aid kit, I realized my kit needed to be more accessible in an emergency. When seconds count, simplicity is ideal. For me, the perfect first aid kit would open quickly and widely to ensure easy access to all equipment at once. Not happy with any bags currently on the market, I set out to make a better bag.The Delta bag is perfectly sized to hold a small to mid-sized first aid kit, the kind of basic kit everyone should have in their home, car, camper and workshop.
The Delta Bag is perfect for storing rope and cords tangle free.
The Romeo Bag is the ultimate small bag for organizing. Simple, masculine, and tougher than any adventure. I like traveling, however, toiletry bags always disappointed me, looked too feminine or fell apart. Unpacking after every trip, it seemed my toothbrush was still damp, or my razor was still wet. The Romeo Bag was the answer with its simple masculine design, breathable webbing, and overkill durability.
The Alpha Bag is the largest of the Draggin Bag line up. Big enough to hold and toss around 70lbs of exercise weights – yes we tested this – but small enough to be practical for everyday use.Sized perfectly for a large civilian first aid kit, or emergency car kit, we keep finding uses for this versatile bag.Need to keep a spare change of clothes in the car? Alpha Bag. Tired of your tire chains clanking around in that old box in the back of your truck? Alpha Bag. Headed to the range but really don’t need all those tacti-cool pockets? You guessed it, Alpha Bag. Simple, durable, discrete.
The Game Plan
In order to make Draggin Bags a reality, we need your help. Like us on Facebook! Sign up for the free bag give away on Facebook, where you could win one of 9 Alpha Bags!
We are offering free shipping in the US for this Kickstarter campaign, and lowering the prices as low as we can go. We want to give you the best deal possible, as a thank you for helping us generate the funding to place the necessary minim orders. While it is much more expensive to use American Made components, and sew these bags in the US, we believe the end product to be much better.
Keeping everything in the US helps support local families and allows us to build close relationships with our suppliers, while shortening our manufacturing time.Shorter manufacturing time means we can come out with other cool products faster, so if there is an awesome bag design you want, let us know in the comments! If enough people want a new type of bag, we will make it!
We want the most durable bag on earth to evolve, the three designs above are only the first steps. Our next bag will be bigger, and completely overkill. The design has not been perfected yet, but we hope to share it with you all soon.
Risks and challenges
First off, we need a better sewing machine to make more bags. The old industrial Juki just can't handle the heavy, thick webbing for much longer. We need a beast of a machine, capable of powering through many layers of dense Military Spec webbing. After working with a local shop, we have just the model picked out.
Secondly, after reaching our funding goal, there are going to be a lot of rolls of webbing and zipper to purchase. With multiple sources for both, we should be able to start sewing up a storm quickly after ordering. Unfortunately though, the high-quality webbing used in Draggin Bags is many times more expensive than even the thickest Cordura nylon fabric. In order to get a good wholesale price, we have to purchase enough webbing for roughly 400 Alpha Bags - over 2.25 miles of 3" webbing!
