About this project
My name is Trevor Staley and I’m here to KickStart Knar Boardshorts.
My passion is in water and water sports. I have grown up around the water all my life and do it all, from surfing to water skiing to wakeboarding; and will not stop doing what I love.
I was even fortunate enough to be apart of the Arizona State University Water Ski team where I was able to further pursue my passion in water sports.
Usually every year before the summer season I end up buying a new pair of boardshorts. But over the years the name brand boardshorts have become very expensive and can cost anywhere from $50-$70 dollars. And that’s when I decided to create Knar shorts.
Knar Boardshorts are the same great quality boardshorts (86% poly 14% spandex) without the expensive brand name. Boardshorts that can be worn at the beach, lake, or anywhere else on a hot sunny day. Since these are not name brand boardshorts, they can be sold at a much lower price. These shorts will be the same polyester fabric and have your standard pocket to keep your goodies in.
The sizes will range from 28-38
I’m offering two colors.
A Classy Black that will have Blue colored accents and A Mint Green with Coral Red colored accents.
$5 - Knar Sticker
$28 - One pair of Knar Boardshorts
$50 - Two pairs of Knar Boardshorts
$100 - Five Pairs of Knar Boardshorts
Help support my goal in providing a product designed by Beach Bums for Beach Bums. THANK YOU!
Risks and challenges
I’ve been in contact with several manufacturers and gone through several prototypes and samples and have finally found a manufacturer that will provide a quality product.
Our concept is simple, but our main concern is getting the word out there and trying to connect with supporters. We are confident in providing a great quality product that is beach ready and will be delivered on time.
Having my own small business, I am aware of the tasks and hurdles ahead: creating and producing products for a particular market.
