PSITRON - PLAY.SEE.INNOVATE.ELECTRONICS
is a next generation electronics construction platform with a patented concept behind. Understand electronics in a simple and ingenious way. Just draw a circuit diagram with a pen and build the electronic circuit on top of the drawing. Become an inventor! PSITRON is based on magnetic contacts. Magnetic wires are used to make electrical connections between adjacent electronic modules. Due to its open platform character, all sorts of circuit designs are possible. No breadboarding! No cable spaghetti! A kit for beginners and experts who want to invent the world of electronics right from the start!
PSITRON-A-BASIC (Early Bird) is in the starting blocks. The kit contains everything you need to immerse yourself in the world of analog electronics.

How does it work?
It's very easy! Just mount a magnetic contact:
Attach magnetic contacts to the psitron modules:
Draw a cicuit diagram on the PSITRON-Board:
Build the circuit on top of the circuit diagram. Take a magnetic wire and attach one end to a PSITRON magnet. If the distance between adjacent PSITRON magnets is too large, place a single PSITRON magnet in between. Continue until all connections to a closed circuit have been made:
Magnetic wires can be placed anywhere on a PSITRON-Magnet.

Who is PSITRON for ?
The magnetic contacts of a PSITRON construction kit consist of small magnets. That's why PSITRON is not a toy for kids. PSITRON is suitable for adults and children of 14+ years. Children between 8 and 13 can experiment with PSITRON in the presence of an adult.
Why do we need PSITRON ?
Education is the passport to your future. The more you know the more creative and innovative you are. There's an engineer in everyone. We are convinced that everyone is creative and can become an inventor. To have fun when learning things is an important factor. And you learn by making faults. A good technical learning system is the key to experience the world of electronics.

Why are you doing kickstarter?
The production of some individual PSITRON systems is very expensive. We can offer the announced prices for a production series of at least 200 systems. So we will spend the money to further realize new PSITRON ideas and to produce the first PSITRON-A series and early bird systems.
Have you prototyped this?
Yes we have! PSITRON construction kits have been developed by experienced electrical engineers right from the beginning. Here you can see the first prototype based on our idea in 2016:
We went through several iterations and further improved the magnetic contacts and electronic modules. Now we are improving PSITRON for the fourth time. This fourth iteration has production maturity for our first series PSITRON-A-BASIC, PSITRON-A-ADVANCED and PSITRON-A-PRO. Compared to the third series-prototype PSITRON-A-BASIC (Early Bird) the design of all modules has been improved.
How are you manufacturing the kits ?
We are the manufacturer and are located in Germany / Munich. The kits are developed by our engineering experts. Some components are supplied by external suppliers. We are a small team that takes care of the product development, creation of the learning units, assembly of the experiment box and quality control.
What is your underlying shipping timeline for your products?

January 2019: Finalize PSITRON-A-BASIC (Early Bird), Shipping

All PSITRON-A-BASIC (Early Bird) products will be shipped immediately after a successful crowdfunding. Shipping timeframe for all other products except PSITRON-INDIVIDUAL will start in january/february 2019.
What are your plans for the future?
With PSITRON we want to cover almost all aspects of electronics. We plan to expand continuously. And soon new PSITRON kits will be available. A digital electronics construction kit with microcontroller and robotics applications is planned for mid 2019+. Which systems do you like? Please tell us your ideas.

Risks and challenges
We are aware that PSITRON has to master additional challenges to meet all production requirements. In the case of a high demand we will build a small team to produce the kits. We already worked out all kinds of safety instructions and have designed stickers to fix on the experimenting box.
