An outlaw on a search for redemption holds up a train, but the robbery goes awry when a man defends himself and the other passengers.
"Passengers" is a 12 minute short Western-Drama that we are creating for our thesis film at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
The year is 1875. After a brief visit to a small chapel and a moment of prayer, a worn down outlaw decides to challenge his remarkably lucky streak of successful robberies as he holds up a passenger train barreling through the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee. Threatening the passengers on the car in demand of their valuables, the cowboy collects all he can, while searching for a strongbox full of cash aboard the train. When a young, cowardly passenger musters the strength to defend the innocent train riders, the cowboy is presented with a display of courage that is shocking. When the robbery ends in a disaster, the cowboy is forced to reflect upon his own courage, or lack thereof.
What we need is funding. We need about $1,500 - $2,000 more. This money will go towards transporting the cast and crew to our wonderful locations in Tennessee, it will go towards set dressing the train to turn it into an authentic looking passenger car, fun costumes and exciting props, and most importantly, it will go towards plenty of food and cold water on set for our cast and crew.
Take a look at our awesome backer rewards, and donate in any way that you can, and help us to put our vision on the screen! You all are the people that can make this something doable, so if we cooperate and raise the proper funding, we can all share what we worked to create.
