Happy Friday!

Wanted to wish everyone a great weekend!  We are still on track to meet our goal and are approaching $50,000.  We have some large organizations coming on board as well to help promote the campaign.  Everyone please spread the word this weekend and try to get one backer each to contribute.  Monday is going to be a big day.  We are releasing a new trailer exclusively on Kickstarter.  This will attract attention to our website and the campaign.  Please start spreading the word about that as well as our first trailer was very well received. We are going to drive as much traffic as possible towards the site on Monday.  Let's go into Monday strong!  As always, thanks for the support.

On our way! New trailer coming soon

Great news, we are almost at $45,000 with 60 days to go! At this point we are on track to meet our goal. We still have a long way to go though.  We only have 350 backers which is not a lot considering the amount we have raised.  There are millions of soccer fans and players out there.  Let's try and get to 500 backers by Tuesday morning.  If everyone can email, facebook, and call their friends and family or anyone who loves soccer and a positive story we can do this.  If we can all get just one person to contribute, no matter how big or small, we will double our amount of backers. We have a lot of positive things coming up.  Next Monday we are going to release a new trailer exclusively on kickstarter. The trailer features Tim Howard, Bob Bradley, and even a cameo by Wayne Rooney.  You will be the first to know when it is launched. We also have guys from the U.S. Men's National Team helping out and it looks like the New York Times will be doing an article. We are doing everything we can to meet our goal.  As always, thanks so much for the support and please keep spreading the word!

DeMerit Starting tonight!

Guys, Jay is starting tonight against the New England Revolution.  He looks good so far, holding a shut out through the half.  You can watch the game on mlsmatchdaylive

Let's all root and his story on (no matter what team you support) and spread the word about the campaign this weekend!

Evan's fundraiser

Wanted to let all the supporters know about Evan's fundraiser. Evan is a 13 year old who has taken a serious interest in getting Jay's story told. Evan is committed to raising $500 this weekend and is selling some of his "stuff" to raise it.  This includes autographed jerseys and collectables, a Stu Holden bobblehead, and even an autographed Venus and Serena Williams tennis ball for all of the tennis fans.  Please visit our facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/TheJayDeMeritStory) to see the items.  Let's all help make Evan's fundraiser a success.  Also, if anyone wants to contribute in Evan's name so he can win a U.S. Men's National Team autographed jersey just add 50 cents to any contribution by Sunday night and we will know if it for Evan.  Like Jay, Evan is a warrior - but on a larger scale. He recently had open chest surgery and is going back to the doctor to get the word on results.  Evan may be the only player in the U.S. with titanium in his chest.  Thanks a lot Evan and everyone else involved in getting Jay's story out.  Spread the word and have a wonderful weekend!

The past 48 hours have been amazing!

We have been up for just over one week and in the past 48 hours we have raised over $14,000!  These contributions are coming in all forms, big and small... from those buying a DVD to those becoming an executive producer.  Every contribution matters and you guys are going to make this film a reality!  Let's keep it going because we still need over $186,896. Everyone please tell their teammates, co-workers, friends, and family.  I can tell you firsthand that Jay is blown away by the support that we are getting.

Stay tuned for an amazing story about one of our fellow supporters Evan, a 13 year old boy doing great things and helping to support Jay's story.
