I am a level 4 backer but don't know where to download the pdf, would it be possible to have it sent to my e-mail?

    3. Michael Herman Creator on July 19, 2014

@Donald - Where were you told that you had to pay $60 to upgrade? You have purchased all three course. Send an email to info@realpython.com and we'll get you taken care of. Cheers!

Why am I being asked for $60.00 to get upgrades when I am supposed to have free updates for life. Have I died or something?

    5. Michael Herman Creator on August 29, 2013

Audrey - please do confirm that you received the download link. I do not see that you downloaded the course yet. I've sent it to both of your emails.

      Again, apologies for the inconvenience.

    6. Michael Herman Creator on August 29, 2013

      Hi Audrey -

I sent a copy of the course to your hotmail email address.

I apologize for the inconvenience. I do not see any emails from you. We would be happy to refund you for the inconvenience. Email us at info@realpython.com.

I am a level 4 backer and have received NOTHING. I got an email to use my info to login, but I can't find a login page anywhere. I tried to login on the forums, and it said my info wasn't valid. I haven't gotten anything. I emailed the creators THREE TIMES and have gotten NO response. These people ripped me off, and they refuse to give me access to the content I purchased. They won't even respond to my emails. I wish I could get a refund, because after six months, I am so frustrated that I'm not even really that interested in the content anymore. I would prefer to spend money backing people who appreciate the support enough to respond within a few months. This is utterly ridiculous and unnaceptable. I would recommend that people don't give money to this project or other projects by these creators.

Stripe sounds great. I look forward to seeing your implementation. Cheers.

    13. Michael Herman Creator on March 23, 2013

Yes. I just posted the results. Did you get that email?

    14. Brian Luckenbill on March 23, 2013

I must have missed the survey that I just got an email about.... was it emailed to us?

    15. Michael Herman Creator on March 23, 2013

I could do Paypal. However, I think you'd get more use out of something like Stripe. Paypal is easy to setup. With Stripe you program it in to your actual app. Once installed you can do some pretty cool things - like have people automatically setup in the database, which would then trigger an email to be sent to the user with their credentials.

If you want to learn Paypal, I could walk you through it over Skype in like 10 minutes.

This content (from update #11) referring to an ecommerce area sounds great! Will you show how to link to paypal? That would be super useful.

"A complete enterprise application developed using Flask. The main page will consist of a news feed, plus an optional ecommerce area for users to purchase login information. If a login is purchased, the user will be added to the user database and login information will be emailed. Then once logged in, users will have access to a product support forum as well as access to the product itself..."

      Hi Joel -

Hope you have fun at PyCon! You are all set. Thanks!

    18. Joel Garza on March 20, 2013

I fell behind on email while away at PyCon. When I click the link for the reward survey it drops me on the landing page for the project. I don't recall whether I answered before I left for Santa Clara or not. I was a backer of the first Real Python project, as well, if that matters. Please advise whether there is further action required on my part to access once the content is ready. Thanks!!!

    19. Josh Nishida on March 15, 2013

Thanks for your hard work! After two chapters of the first book, I can say I'm really liking the flow of the lessons. Can't wait to learn more.

      Good to hear! :)

I would still fill out the survey with your email information even if its the same as your kickstarter email. Only after I did this did I receive my login Information. Now I've managed to get a good few hours of coding in and learning tones thanks to real python!

    24. Michael Herman Creator on March 14, 2013

Apologies, Tim. I will have this resent. Thanks!

I still don't have my login information. It isn't in my spam box :)

Also I didn't fill out the form, because my email is also the same as my kickstarter mail.

Just can't wait to get started...

    26. Michael Herman Creator on March 12, 2013

      Hi All -

Apologies for the inconvenience. If you did not receive your login yet, it will be sent out today.

    27. Jan Dehoorne on March 12, 2013

Hi. Same here. I'm level 4. No login.
I didn't respond to the kickstarter survey because my email is the same as my kickstarter email. Is that a problem?
btw: congratulations. Can't wait to start. :-)

      Hi -

Since you're a Level 4 backer, you should have received your login info to the original Real Python course on Sunday. Did you not receive it?

      Thanks!

Yup - I have a section on developing a user registration and login/logout backed by a user database.

      Soferio on March 9, 2013

      Congratulations!

In your Flask section it would be great if you could show how to implement a login/logout system with a user database. This is the first hurdle in Flask, since there is no in-built system (you would probably use Flask-login).

      Congratulations again!

    37. Michael Herman Creator on March 8, 2013

Thank you! I just sent an update for all backers about the next steps. Cheers!
