Umbrella Here is a light that can be attached on an umbrella. It is controlled by a mobile app that tells people that this umbrella is available for sharing. Just like the light you would see on a taxi. When the light is on, it represents that strangers are welcome to come in and share your umbrella.

Risks and challenges
We've taken every step to ensure that we have a successful launch for Umbrella Here. We have brought our Umbrella Here digital prototype that we have built with Arduino to Shenzhen, China, the manufacturing capital of the world. In Shenzhen, we found a product designer and an electronic engineer to help us work on Umbrella Here to make it ready for manufacturing.
Once we met the engineers and product designers who helped us on our project, we have told them that Umbrella Here has to fit different umbrellas. This is definitely one of the biggest problem we encountered. Right now, our product designers had came up with different designers, where we can ensure that Umbrella Here fits different Umbrellas. Right now, we are under the process of trying out which looks and work best on Umbrella Here. Please expect that we might add something into the hole of Umbrella Here in our final product, which will help Umbrella Here fit different umbrellas.
Please be aware that every Umbrella Here comes with a wooden stand. The four of us are currently based in Hong Kong and all of our manufacturing will be done in Hong Kong or Shenzhen. We are still currently undergoing the process to check which countries do not allow us to mail a wooden stand. If we encountered any problem of sending out the wooden stand to you, we will changed the stand to other materials. Don't worries, if anything changes, we will definitely contact you.
