About this project
We are Times Three Theatre, a new Chicago-based theatre company. We are producing our debut show this spring titled Vonnegut's Shorts, which is a collection of adaptations of short stories written by one of the greatest contemporary authors, Kurt Vonnegut. Since his death in 2007, his works have continued to resonate and remain incredibly relevant. Our project aims to achieve the same significance and spirit that Vonnegut continued to create until the day he passed away. We will be honoring the work of a great writer and offering a fresh look into his world.
We have congregated a group of local artists who are helping to make this show a success, including local actors, artists, writers, and musicians. We want to give them the budget that they deserve to realize their full potential. Our specific aesthetic will convey Kurt Vonnegut's signature sense of surrealism while also bringing the characters themselves to life. The funding of this project will allow our costume and set designers to flesh out their visions for this production. It will also go towards covering printing costs that will help us to promote the show and ensure that this project is enjoyed by theatre and literary fans alike.
We are confident that this show will be a success and we feel very passionately about making it so. We thank you for your support in our endeavors!
