About this project
Katie, a young woman looking for answers, was lead to join a small all female cult three months ago. Struggling to find her identity in her new home, Katie is called upon by her cult leader to recruit someone from her previous life, not only to prove her devotion, but also to secure the future of the cult itself. Upon re-entering her old life, Katie recognizes similarities between her cult and her old social click; realizing she’s been a follower for much longer than three months.
$5,500 will allow us to shoot JOIN US over the span of two days in Los Angeles at the end of August. The funds will feed the cast and crew and pay for insurance, permits, locations, production design, props, wardrobe necessary equipment and appropriate transportation.
We plan on going into post-production after wrapping in early September for sound design, editing, and music composition. After the film is completed we will submit it to festivals such as Festival de Cannes, Sundance, South By Southwest, and Los Angeles Film Festivals.

Making a film, regardless of the budget, can be a challenge. It's a miracle anything ever gets made! But since this particular project has such a small budget that will cover all of the basic needs we have, we are more than confident that our film will make it to the finish line.
