Introducing the Mountain Quick Draw 24L and Civic Transit Bag 40L CROSSOVER backpacks.

EVERGOODS backpacks bring an attention to fit, function, durability, and detail that make them thrive in both outdoor and urban environments. We use only the highest quality materials and trims and our products are 100% designed and tested in-house in Bozeman, MT.

EASY IN. EASY OUT: Unique QUICK DRAW LID construction and custom QUICK DRAW CORD LOCK hardware allow opening and closing in a single action.

MQD24 is not your father's top loader. Our modern take on the classic alpine bag brings faster access and expandability, EASY GRAB front handle, an ergonomic harness and contoured shoulder straps, burly 420D HT Nylon 6,6 fabric, side zipper access and a host of other features. More than a simple sack MQD24 is a fully featured companion for your daily active pursuits.

Packs like a suitcase: Full clam-shell opening for wide access along with our unique Flex-Fold Compression allows packing your travel items or easily containing larger items such as helmets or other large objects.

Mobile like a duffel: Fully padded with a low profile sized for airline overhead bins. CTB40 is easy to grab, easy to move, and easy to stowe.

Wears like a backpack: Ergonomic harness + contoured shoulder straps for excellent fit and comfortable carry through terminals or jaunts to the crag.

Streamlined design, thoughtful features, rugged materials, and excellent fit make CTB40 more than a travel bag, it is a gear hauler for your active lifestyle.

We aren't pro athletes. We are normal guys who have been working in the outdoor and lifestyle industries for a combined 20 years. We have designed backpacks tough enough for the harshest environments known to man. We love to get outdoors and get after it but we are husbands and fathers leading busy lives. When we do get outdoors we want durable products that work, that have the same attention to fit, function, and detail as outdoor specific gear but have an aesthetic that looks and performs just as well around town. So we created EVERGOODS.

Our modern take on the classic alpine backpack, MQD24 is a fully featured companion for your daily active pursuits.

We are partnered with an extraordinary land conservation organization : The Gallatin Valley Land Trust. We give 1% of gross revenue towards their efforts protecting open spaces and cultivating the incredible trails in and around Bozeman, MT. We figure we will start where we know we can make a difference, right here in our own backyard.

Please note that per Kickstarter guidelines, we cannot use this crowdfunding project to raise funds for charity. We are ecstatic at the prospect of making EVERGOODS a reality so we can begin giving back in a meaningful way.

100%

We do all product development in house and by hand. This is only possible with the proper tools and machinery.

Here is what it looks like:

  • Build the design brief (we both review and sign off)
  • Source and begin testing all raw material and trim needs (we use only the most premium materials)
  • Explore the brief via 2d line illustrations (we both review and sign off)
  • Work with card stock paper to build 3D models (as many rounds as needed, review then sign off)
  • Use 3D models as starting point to create patterns
  • Cut fabric and build first sample
  • Test in the field (by us and other users)
  • Review sample 1
  • Explore any adjustments via 3D models
  • Transfer adjustments into patterns
  • Cut fabric and sew second sample
  • Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

This work is difficult, like really difficult, time consuming, and expensive. We do it because we love it and because we believe it is the only way to arrive at product this thoughtfully considered. It also makes us better partners for our raw material suppliers and manufacturers. In the end it is the only way to ensure a culture of R&D that is at the heart of EVERGOODS.

Jack Barley - CEO

Jack is co-founder and former Head of Product at GORUCK where he worked on all facets of product development from design, quality control, to manufacturing. Before living in Bozeman, MT he spent nearly a decade in NYC.  Living in both city and outdoor environments has greatly shaped his approach to helping create EVERGOODS' CROSSOVER equipment.  When he is not manning the grill he can be found chasing his three dogs all over the Gallatin Valley.

Kevin Dee - Head of Product

Kevin Dee was born and raised in Illinois. After high school he spent 8 years living in Chicago where he worked odd jobs and earned a BFA in sculpture. He began creating sewn sculpture pieces and fell in love with the process. In 2007 he started working as a Sample Maker for outdoor apparel company Patagonia and eventually became a Design Engineer in their Advanced R&D Facility. After leaving Patagonia he worked for several years as a contract designer and R&D person for clients in the Outdoor, Military, Medical and Aerospace industries. One of these engagements was for the gear and events brand, GORUCK where he worked closely with their Head of Product, Jack Barley. Kevin and Jack enjoyed collaborating and in 2016 began working on EVERGOODS together. In addition to being EVERGOODS’ Head of Design, Kevin enjoys raising 2 children with his wife Sara, hiking, skiing, making furniture and listening to music.

Thank you for joining us as we build EVERGOODS.  We are stoked to get these products made and in your hands.

Risks and challenges

This is our 2nd Kickstarter and certainly not our first rodeo when it comes to all aspects of product life cycle. We are working with an amazing manufacturing facility and we have close relationships with and our raw material providers who make some of the best fabrics and trims in the world. Manufacturing is done by humans, mostly by hand, please be understanding if there are slight delays as a result of massive orders. We should be so lucky, right?

During this campaign there are no sales or customer service reps. Kevin and I are running this campaign and we will be answering all of your questions. We look forward to hearing from you.

We visit our factory during each production run. This allows us to maintain a solid relationship with our partners. Without their expertise in manufacturing building bags to our standards would not be possible.

All EVERGOODS products are guaranteed against manufacturing and material defect. We do not cover the effects of normal wear and tear.

While all of our products are guaranteed for life, we do not offer refunds or returns on items received as Kickstarter rewards.

Import duties and taxes are not included in our reward levels. These charges vary by country and are completely out of our control.
