Compact: All of the hardware is built into the wallet's clip, giving SmartWallet a thin, trendy look.
Tap to Find SmartWallet: If you misplace your wallet you can quickly find it by distance and direction within a 50-150 foot radius.
Press to Find Phone: If you can't find your phone you can press both sides of the clip to make your phone ring, even if it's on silent or vibrate only.
GPS Location: Whenever your wallet gets out of range, your phone will automatically save the last GPS location so you know right where you left it.
Battery Backup: The SmartWallet has a built-in 1000 mAh battery so you can charge your phone up to 66% on the go.
Charging Cable: We have created a specially designed zipper compartment for the cables to hide them when not in use.
Get Alerted: In addition to saving the last seen location of SmartWallet, you will receive a notification on your phone when it goes out of range.
Each of our prototype wallets were carefully handcrafted in Massachusetts from the highest quality leather. We used surgical precision when cutting the leather and stitching seams to ensure elegance while maintaining the sleek design.
Only 99 of our Striped Moonstone edition wallets are going to be produced and will be available to early bird Kickstarter backers only. The back pattern is hand pressed, dyed, and polished to capture the dazzling brilliance of the gemstone the name is derived from.
We founded StreetSmart Brand to create high fashion clothing and accessories. Our inspiration to add the technology that prevents people from losing their wallet and going about their day with a dead smartphone was inspired by the Internet of Things boom and the emergence of wearable technology. It all started with two best friends and a lost wallet.

After a lot of hard work (and numerous prototypes) our final logo design was completed.

Our PCB and rechargeable battery are placed inside a polymer encasing which is designed to be a waterproof and slide into the leather strap surrounding the money clip. Our wallet has a multi-function button which is easily programmable using the app, and can be used to make simple actions take place, such as making your smartphone ring when lost.

The funds will be used to manufacture the wallets, finalize schematics and PCB design to create the manufacturing molds for production. We also will be allocating a good portion of the funding to complete the apps for Android and iOS, firmware, and necessary quality testing once we receive the first batch of sample devices. The remainder of the funds will be used for shipping and order fulfillment. Here is the breakdown:

Risks and challenges
We have taken great care to make sure that once we are funded there will be as few obstacles as possible, but there are still a few potential things that could delay our project. The main snag we could run into would be transitioning our finalized schematics and PCB designs into manufacturing molds. We have accounted for these potential delays by allocating two months solely for this portion of our timeline.
Other hurdles we will have to conquer will be in obtaining the proper licensing prior to production and distribution. We will mainly need MFI certification from Apple (for the iPhone Lightning connector), CE, FCC, SIG (Bluetooth certification), and the necessary testing for. We have already accounted for these costs (out of pocket, not included in the KS funding breakdown) and will be working with our manufacturer (already fully certified) to quickly obtain everything.
The final risk associated with delivering on time is logistics, shipping, and collection of backer data at the end of the campaign. We are deciding between a few different turnkey fulfillment services that will be able to handle international shipping quickly and effectively (the idea behind this is to leverage their strengths and expertise so that international orders especially will be sent in the cheapest way possible, so we can reduce/cover import taxes and tariffs on our end).

The first version of the SmartWallet is the standard wallet which has an integrated BLE chip, and function button on the clip. This version does not have the 1000 mAh battery and is priced lower than the other wallet. The BLE chip in the standard wallet runs off a CR2032 coin battery (like you would find in most watches) which lasts between 1-2 years. When the battery gets low you will receive a notification on the StreetSmart app and you will be able to replace it easily.
Our premium SmartWallet has the 1000 mAh portable battery pack and BLE chip in the clip and a USB and either Micro USB or iPhone Lightning connector in the zipper compartment at the bottom for quick access and storage.

The StreetSmart App will work on iPhone and Android Smartphones. Our app has a few very significant differences from other Locating applications. Our app has a compass that always points towards the lost wallet and tapping the screen will make SmartWallet ring. You can also check the amount of battery left on Premium SmartWallets.
