Hey everyone! My name is Bianca Ryan. Some of you may remember me from America's Got Talent back when I was little! And some of you may have just watched me for the first time on America's Got Talent The Champions! The last 10+ years have been one heck of a roller coaster ride. I'm currently an independent artist doing everything under my own label Bianca Ryan Records which I recently opened up to release music! I was able to put together The Reintroduction EP Part 1! But I'm going to need some help bringing it out to the world and starting Part 2. This is where all of you lovely people come into play and join the journey with me through 2019.
My music career has never been easy. There have been many ups but also many downs. For a while, I didn't want to talk about what was going on behind the scenes. I feel like I've recently just found myself again and I truly feel like it's a brand new beginning for me. For many reasons...
It took me a while to open up about this until I did on America's Got Talent The Champions. I had to go through 2 vocal surgeries and a stomach surgery in the last few years. It was not easy going through this as a teen right out of high school. It broke me. I blamed myself for a long time and wondered why I couldn't tour or perform as much as I wanted to. My body and my voice just wouldn't support my passion for it. Years after what felt like my dreams were over.. I went to see an ENT to see if there was something I was unaware of. That's when I was told the hardest news of my life... Part of my vocal chord was paralyzed and were not coming together properly... And I would have to get vocal surgery... which comes to possibility that I may never be able to sing again. After much back and forth and some sleepless nights, I went through with it. It took months to recover and would take a year to fully recover from it. I couldn't talk or sing for months.
Going into my early twenties at this point, I thought I was going to start my early 20's strong again. My vocal chord surgery was a success and I was healing as good as I could. That's when I released my new single "Alice" and a few other singles following.
I was on a strong and steady path of hustling my tooshie off to finally get back to my dreams! Until I fell ill... I was only going into the ENT for a checkup for a common cold, when I was hit with other detrimental news.
I remember being scoped and looking into the TV screen where they show your vocal chords. The doctor had told me that I had blood vessels all over my vocal chords. This was either due to a virus or genetics. I didn't know a singer could have such bad luck! I had to get them removed or else they would pop at some point and do more damage. Again, I was scared, but I knew I could get through it. I went through this before and I could do it again. I knew this was all a test, a test of strength and courage and patience and passion, and I wasn't going to let anyone down.
Shortly into recovery of my 2nd vocal surgery, I received a stomach surgery as well for extreme GERD that was affecting my singing and hoarding my voice and putting me at risk of esophagus cancer. This left some scars, but I am proud of all of these scars! Every scar I have is a symbol of strength and loyalty to music and my fans. And I've never felt stronger in my life!
A little over a year later, when I was asked to be on AGT The Champions, it felt like perfect timing. I hope I made all of you proud. And I hope to have you join my team in helping me finally bring all of my music I've been writing behind the scenes into the world. I really need help getting Part 1 Marketing and out to the world, and I also need help in funding Part 2.
The overwhelming response I received from releasing my last few singles this past year has brought me to tears. I still can't believe that this crazy journey has lead me to this point. I am so grateful and I know we can keep striving forward. I've been writing and writing and writing more and more and more songs. And I just want to get them out to you and be able to get into the right studios with the right producers and get these new songs recorded for Part 2 while taking all the songs from Part 1 all the way. I don't want finances to come in the way of my content and the amount of music I can release.
With this budget (or more) I will be able to do some amazing things. If there's something I've learned over the last 10 years as an independent artist is doing as much as I can ON A BUDGET. But releasing music and content is NOT CHEAP. But I have always done things on a budget and got creative with it.
I'll be able to -
- Pay For Studio Time
- Pay For Mixing and Mastering of each song (Approx $1.2K for mixing/mastering of each song)
- Single / Album Artwork
- Pay For Submissions
- Promote / Online Marketing and Ads for the songs
- New Merch Made (T Shirts / CD's printed / Posters Printed)
- Travel for promotion
- Music Videos done for one or more of the songs (Separate funding may be needed for these)
- Music Licenses
Music Videos are very important in promoting new songs. But quality Music Videos are definitely on the more expensive side. Here's a breakdown of what goes into funding a Music Video Specifically -
- Music Director
- Camera Equipment
- Lighting Equipment
- Location Permits
- Post Production/Editing
- Online Marketing
As an independent artist, these expenses would be impossible for me to cover without your help. Join me in this journey to create something exciting and inspiring. Together we can do this!
The project goal here is the lowest amount of what we need to get some things rolling quickly for 2019! The project goal only covers approximately 2-4 Singles being Produced / Mixed / Mastered, New Merch (for rewards) and potentially one new Music Video on the lower end budget.
Which is why I am hoping to make some stretch goals. Because there is so much more I want to accomplish in 2019 such as Radio Campaigns, PR, Touring, completing funding EP Part 2, a new Christmas Album for 2019 and a few music videos and TV performances. The stretch goal of $25,000 would give me the opportunity to be heard in places impossible without a radio campaign and tour to support it. I would be able to be an INDEPENDENT ARTIST doing this on a MAJOR ARTIST LEVEL. Those of you who are aware of the music industry and what things like this cost, actually know that this stretch goal is still going to be a stretch! LOL. But like I said, I am very good at getting creative with a budget and I will not let you all down. xoxo
Even if you can't support me by backing the Kickstarter, please SHARE IT WITH YOUR FRIENDS!

Risks and challenges
The biggest challenge is that I'm not with a label at the current moment.
Which means no label funding, and so I'm doing this project completely independently and all by myself which makes things ten times harder. I'm glad that I could do this project myself though because I finally get to have a say in what music I produce and I get to express my ideas and creativity
