Welcome to Poop Heart!
Hi I'm Erin the founder and artist behind (warning I love poop puns) Poop Heart. We could all use a little more joy in our lives and I hope my art and products make you smile!
Butt (there it is again) first let's address the pooping elephant in the room...
It doesn't matter if you are 3 or 103, poop is funny!
And my company Poop Heart is also on a mission to raise awareness about sanitation. Sanitation gets overlooked because well... it's poop ... and people don't like talking about poop.
DID YOU KNOW?
More people have access to cell phones then toilets?
Whaaaaat? How is this possible?? With all the technological advances in the world like 3D printers creating functional body parts and pizza (hopefully not together), yet 1 in 3 people don't have access to a shitter?!
Poop Heart wants to change that. This is why I have partnered with CAWST; Centre for Affordable Water and Sanitation Technology.
Poop Heart and CAWST are both based out of Calgary, Canada and we are passionate about poop so naturally it is the perfect match!
A successful Kickstarter campaign will allow me to purchase inventory for my online store at poopheart.com. Poop Heart will donate at least 10% of all sales proceeds to CAWST.
Please note the funds from Kickstarter will not go to CAWST (it's against Kickstarter rules) but will stock the shelves for my future sales. Yey!!
Why do I need your support?
I am a one woman show and I need your help to make a pledge and spread (yep, it counts as a poop pun) the word about Poop Heart! I will use the money raised from Kickstarter to order in bulk to increase my profit margins. Increasing margins will create a sustainable business and generate greater donations to CAWST! When possible, I will print the art and merchandise in Calgary to support other local businesses.
What is in it for you?
Lots of cool shit to choose from! All this could be yours, so make a pledge today!
At the end of the campaign I will contact all of the backers to get the choice you have selected and shipping details.
Risks and challenges
I am a professional engineer and I lost my job last year due to a downturn in my industry. I turned a potentially crappy situation into an opportunity to start my own business by awakening my inner artist. I am committed to making Poop Heart a success! Being a one women entre-poo-neur show has it's challenges. I never thought I would be brave enough to start my own company but here it is! It has been a steep learning curve but I am determined to make this crazy poop dream of mine a reality.
So the biggest risk is that you miss out on the best gift of all:
shits and giggles with Poop Heart products.
