ZoMbushed! is a post-apocalyptic card game for 1 to 4 players. You and your fellow teammates are the survivors of a zombie outbreak that have ravaged the city of Seattle where thousands of zombies hunger for human flesh. You each receive a radio transmission that the last helicopter on the skyscraper will be leaving soon. Your goal is to make it to the top of the skyscraper so you can board the helicopter. The skyscraper is infested with hordes of zombies, and your path to the top is blocked with obstacles. To ascend each floor, you must overcome the obstacles and zombies that are blocking your path.

- 48 action cards: weapons, dodge, healing and utility to help you survive the journey

- 4 unique zombie cards: including dangerous new traps and hazards
- 3 unique action cards: including powerful new weapons and healing items
- 2 unique floor modifier cards: adding a new level of danger
Players starts by choosing 1 of 4 survivors, and progress up the tower towards the escape helicopter. A typical game consist of 5 zones in the tower, which takes about 45 to 60 minutes with experienced players. (If players want to play a longer game additional zones can be added. The difficulty increases as you add more zones!)
In each zone, players have to meet objectives, avoid traps, and fight zombies to progress to the next zone.

Big Daddy K: Old School Gangsta - He has connections and he knows how to get things done. Born and raised in the back streets of Seattle, he's one person you do not want to cross. Resourceful as they come, he knows how to use the surroundings to survive. Ability: Spend an action to search and draw one additional action card.
Michelle Carson: Medic - After three tours in Iraq, as a field medic, she has treated many horrific injuries. She is compassionate and caring; unless you are a zombie. She will keep you alive as long as you keep her alive. Recently moved to Seattle Washington, her skills as a medic is unmatched. Ability: Spend an action to discard one card from your hand to heal a player of your choice one health. Using a healing action card heals a player for an addition one health point.
Bobby Chinn: College Football Player - Favored to have a bright future in the NFL. He is fiery, hot tempered and build like a tank. Most importantly, can knockdown even the biggest zombie. Bobby is a native to Seattle, and has lived a privileged life. He will soon learn that life is hard. Especially when there is a horde of zombies who wants make a meal out of you. Ability: Spend an action and discard one from your hand to tackle a regular zombie taking it out of play for one round. Discard two cards to tackle a boss zombie taking it out of play from play for one round.
Sarah Joanna Bates: Zombie Hunter - She is shrouded in mystery as no one know much about her past. One thing is for sure, she is well trained in killing zombies. She is a hurricane of death and a blurred shadowy zombie killing machine. She knows how to use anything in her environment as a weapon. Ability: Spend an action and discard 1 card from your hand to attack a zombie with an equivalent weapon of 1 range / 1 damage. Discard 2 cards to attack a zombie for 2 range / 2 damage.
Joe Shimmerman: Town Drunk - Once a brilliant engineer, he lost his family in a tragic accident. Spiraling down the dark descent toward the bottom of a whisky bottle, he had to learn how to survive in the city. He is resourceful, knowing how you use most thing discarded as trash by most people. Ability: Spend an action and discard two cards from your hand to draw any card from the action discard pile. After use, discard the card permanently for the rest of the game.
While designing for the game ZoMbushed!, we at Game Jockey wanted a game that would differentiate us from most card games out there today. There are many great card games out there that focus on competitive style of game play, but far less that allow players to work together to reach a common goal. We also wanted to design an action-adventure card game that allows a player to play a solo game or with other people.
The ultimate goal is to provide a card game that is fun with heart-pounding action that will keep you on your toes, with excellent replay value.
ZoMbushed! simulates a post-apocalyptic world where players have to make tough choices. In the card deck, players may have a card that serves a dual purpose. For example, a weapon card can serve as an attack card or a unique tool used to complete the floor objective.
The cost of shipping can vary significantly. As such, we will be charging shipping after the Kickstarter concludes, according to the actual costs incurred to ship to your area.
There are two reasons we are doing this. First, it allows us to provide a lower rate on the actual pledge levels and structure a much tighter budget for the campaign and stretch goals since we do not have to estimate for shipping costs. Second, the funds raised for the project are 100% for the actual project itself rather than being partially inflated by shipping costs that may not be accurate.
Though the pricing may vary due to any add-ons you pledge for by the end of the campaign, the core game pledge level has an estimated weight of 2.00 lbs. (0.9 kg) we are anticipating an average shipping fee to be about:
$6-$11 to ship in the USA
$10-$18 in Canada
$20-$32 in the EU and Australia / New Zealand
$54+ to ship everywhere else
Please note these are estimates and they may increase or decrease based on the quantity of stretch goals we unlock, final box size and weight and also the current postal prices at the time of shipping.
Risks and challenges
The product offered in this Kickstarter is fully developed and the artwork is completed, but we plan on doing more rigorous play testing to flush out the game play and re-balancing of the cards.. As this project is still in progress, we may need to tweak the rules, change the game dynamics, or adjust the cards to fit the needs of our users. This would cause some delays in production/manufacturing.
Another unique challenge might be due to "Join Usss" Level for our backers. If this succeeds, it won't affect the main deck, but may have production delay for the individual backers that pledged for this amount.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
