My name is Rob Cooperman and it means the world to me that you're here considering a contribution to help realize a lifelong dream of mine. The love and support I've received from people like you over the years is truly a gift. I'll be taking on this project in the minimal free time between working a full-time job and devoting time to a wonderful relationship and my adorable 5-year-old son. I hope you'll make a generous pledge but, even if you can't, you can still help by sharing this page with your friends!
I've been a lover of music for as long as I can remember and have been singing since before I could talk. I've been hooked on the passion and energy of live music since I was a kid and I try to bring those same elements to my show each time I step onstage.
Throughout the years of playing full band shows with Jacks & Sixes and the American Sideshow, countless solo performances, and working alongside over 150 artists during the Shut Up and Sing acoustic storytellers showcase, it has been unbelievably rewarding to help bring joy to others through music, share the energy of the crowd, support my fellow musicians, and contribute all I can to the Austin music community and the surrounding areas. I have an immense amount of love and appreciation for the people I've been privileged to encounter along my musical journey.
What's it all about?
This project is very important to me for many reasons... I've been in a few different bands, with several different lineups, and tried to record a couple albums over the years. For one reason or another, none of those albums ever came to fruition. At times, it seemed like it would never happen. Now, with your help, I have the opportunity to reach a major milestone in a musical career to which I've devoted a great deal of time, finances, energy, and emotion.
I've chosen to title this record "Anthology of Apologies" because it chronicles the challenges I've encountered in years past, personal regret and pain I've caused others and myself, lessons learned, changed perspective, and a renewed focus on what is truly important in life. In a sense, it is my way of offering apologies, asking and giving forgiveness, reflecting on past chapters of my life and looking forward to new ones.
If you're familiar with my music, there will be some songs on here that you'll recognize. You'll also hear several brand new songs, rewritten arrangements, and some exciting new sounds different from anything I've ever attempted. With the help of some indescribably talented musicians, I'm ecstatic to complete a project which is sure to surpass the highest expectations...even my own.

Creating an album isn't easy, or cheap...
I'll be working on this project with producer/engineer Ben Smith (Quiet Company, StrangeLove) at Red Truck Studios in Nacogdoches, Texas. In addition to Ben's incomparable production and composition talents, he and I share appreciation for similar musical genres and songwriting styles. I am unfailingly confident that, with Ben's help, my vision for this epic album is sure to become a reality.
Renting a studio can cost over $500 per day, and the costs can skyrocket after hiring engineers, compensating everyone involved, covering materials, travel costs, and countless other little things that add up fast! Ben Smith has graciously agreed to work at a fraction of his regular rates to help stretch our dollars as far as possible. While I'll be contributing quite a bit of my own funds to this project, I need all the help I can get in order to really make this happen. Anything you can offer is sincerely appreciated and no contribution is too small.
What's in it for you?
I've tried to put together some creative rewards for you to choose from and there's something available for every budget level. I put a lot of time and thought into creating this campaign and I hope the sincere passion I possess for this project shows through. In the end, at the very least, you'll receive a final product that I'll be immeasurably proud of and you'll be able to keep forever. You can rest assured that every dollar you contribute will be used toward the recording, production, duplication, and promotion of this album, and you will have my sincere thanks and eternal gratitude.
Please spread the word throughout your friends, family, and social media networks. Share and post about this page as often as you can. I truly appreciate any support you're able to offer.
I'd like to thank my band members - Neal Shotwell, Jr. (drums), Will Wallace (lead guitar), Chris Taylor (bass), and the many other gifted musicians who have agreed to lend their talents to this project. Big thanks to Budro Partida (Uptown Studios Austin) for helping create the intro video at no cost and to Ben Smith (Red Truck Studios) for believing in my vision and making compromises to help realize it. A special thanks goes out to all of my friends, family, and fans for your unconditional love and support. I am forever in your debt. Thank you... I love you guys.
